Espresso Yourself

It's a coffee kind of day, don't you think?  I created this fun shaker card using the adorable Coffee Break stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.  I love this set as it's perfect for all those everyday cards.  I thought turning it into a shaker card was a nice touch.  I stamped the coffee beans in Jumbo Java VersaMagic Ink and set it aside to dry.

I used Emerald Green Delicate ink to stamp the coffee cup and then I colored the cup with the Delicate Emerald Green ink by using a fatastix brush tipped applicator.  I embossed the sentiment at the bottom with Versamark ink and white embossing powder.  I finished by adding the shaker elements from a number of sequences I had in my stash from Whimsy.

I hope you have a fantastic day.  Make sure to check out all the newest release stamps from Whimsy too.

Thinking of Summer Days - Whimsy Release Day!

All the new stamps, clear and rubber are being released today at Whimsy Stamps!  I love all of them and today I'm sharing one of my favorites in released in red rubber.  This is Flower Girl, isn't she adorable?  I colored her in my Copics and created a fun summery background for her.

I also used pretty paper from the Whimsy stack called It's A Party.  The green was perfect for the Copic colors I used.  Sometimes I worry that with summer hills there will be too much green.  The sky and the hills break up the color though.

I hope you enjoyed all the new released images at Whimsy this week.  Here's a peak of all the creations I made with the new stamps.  Make sure to check out all the goodies in the shop!

Don't forget to head over and purchase all the new stamps today!!!

This Won't Hurt a Bit - Whimsy Release Day 3

I'm a little late today as I feel terrible.  I got the yucky chest cold that's going around.  The most energy I have is to type.  I miss crafting and I haven't been to work in days.  Ugh, it's hit hard.  Anyhow, I created this fun card using a new clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps called Cupid in Training.  Isn't it hilarious...I love the sentiment.

The background was a watercolored background using Twinkling H2Os.  The paper is actually from a Christmas paper from Doodlebug Designs called Milk and Cookies.  The hearts and sentiment come with the clear set and so do a number of other cute stamps.

There is also a new rubber stamp being released today that I love.  Here's a little sneak of a card I made with her that I'll share next week.

Make sure to head to the Whimsy blog and see all the adorable inspiration from the design team.  Remember, the new stamps will be released on Dec. 7th!  Just one more day!!!!

Be Merry - Tiddly Inks Challenge

Hi ya everyone!  It's Tiddly Tuesday and that means a new challenge since it's the beginning of the month.  I hope you'll join us.  Today, I used the adorable Wryn's Baubles for my card.  The challenge is Be Merry.  I thought she couldn't be any merrier!  I colored her in my Copics.

I created the background with my Copics too.  I then mounted her on paper from Doodlebug Designs called Milk & Cookies.

I hope you'll join our new challenge.  Check out all the new cuties in the shop too.

Bring on the Chocolate - Whimsy Stamps Release Day 2

Hi ya everyone!  Day 2 of Whimsy Stamps release.  Today, I'm sharing with you the cutest little gecko red rubber stamp called Gecko Love.  I inked the background with my VersaMagic Chalk Inks.  Then colored up this cutie with my Copics.

After I colored him in Copics, I went back used my Copic Opaque White to add some adorable little spots on him.  I think they added some nice highlight and some fun interest to an otherwise green gecko!  I'm already thinking about Valentine's Day can you tell!?

You can find all the new release images on the Whimsy Blog.  Remember, all the new images will be available for purchase on December 7th.

XOXO - Crazy for Chocolate Whimsy Release Day 1

Hi everyone!  It's that time again, new release images at Whimsy Stamps.  The new set is called Crazy for Chocolate.  It has some wonderful hearts and so many cute chocolates. It's perfect for Valentine's Day if you are starting to think ahead.

I decided to do a bit of a mixed media card for this release.  I used Memento Markers from Girl's Night Out, to create this background.  I stamped my hearts in Versafine Onyx Black and then used a water color brush to paint the marker onto the watercolor paper.

I then took my Copic Opaque White and put dots into the background and then circled them with a pen.  The sentient is also from Whimsy Stamps called Everyday Mini Sentiments.  There are so many beautiful creations from the design team today and a new rubber stamp that is being released called Bunny Love.

The new stamps can be purchased on the 7th of this month!

A Holly Jolly Smile

Hi ya everyone!  Look how cute this image is!!!!  I just love it.  It's a C.C. Designs image called Roberto's Rascals Stamp - Snowman.  I love his little jelly belly and I can just here his little boy laugh.  I had so much fun coloring him in Copics and creating a wintery background for him.

I added some snowflakes with platinum embossing powder and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps called Holiday Mini Sentiments.  The paper I used is called Bella Blvd. Santa Stops Here

I also added some adorable mate finish bling.  This is from Whimsy and is called Christmas cheer and I LOVE them.  The mate finish is so pretty.

A Snowy Merry Christmas with Whimsy Stamps

Hi everyone!  Just sharing a little creation I made using some of the adorable Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet at Whimsy Stamps.  I love this adorable image, but sadly Winter Friends is sold out.  However, don't stress as there are so many more adorable stamps in the Whimsy Shop you will find something else you love.

I also had created a whole video on how to color the background trees I show you here, but alas my battery died and I had no idea until I loaded it onto my computer!  Ugh, so sad.  But I'll do another one soon.  She was colored in Copics.

After coloring, I placed the image on cardstock that matched paper from Milk and Cookies from Doodlebug Designs.  I then used Shabby Frantage Embossing Enamel for the snow.  The sentiment is also from Whimsy stamps called Holiday Mini Sentiments.
