Between Two Evils - Tiddly Inks Special Gothic PinUps Release!!!

Hi ya everyone!!  This week is SOOOOOOO very special in that the wonderfully talented Christy has come up with such a fabulous idea...PINUPS in digi form, and not just any old pinups - but GOTHIC PINUPS -
Um, how cool is that!?  I'm so excited about these fun digis - they were so much fun to color.  I love Tiddly Inks stamps - the cutesy cute and the Gothicy ones too.  Now, we have even more fun to chose from.  So please head over to the Tiddly Inks Blog - AKA Christy's blog and check out all the new fun pinups and all the creations the DT has made!!!  They will be sure to astound you!  Then head over to the Tiddly Inks STORE and get some for yourself!
Now let's talk about this creation of mine - totally different for me - at least I felt like it was!!  I like to see straight lines with my sewing machine and sweet little kids with pinks and blues and maybe even a furry friend or a flower every now and again!! LOL but I decided to "Rock The Casbah" and shake things up...WOO HOO!!!  So I took a plain white piece of paper and sent it through my printer with this awesome sentiment from Mae West that Christy has worked up into a fun sentiment.
I cut the paper at a 4.75x4.75 inch, inked it up with Tim Holtz Black Soot and Worn Lipstick.  I then took my water spray bottle and shot the paper a few times.  Next, I grabbed my embossing dryer and dried the paper.  Believe it or not I used my DREMEL tool - THAT'S RIGHT busting out the power tools for this baby and sanded up the edges of my paper for a distressed look.
THEN I used an Iron to flatten the whole thing out!! LOL.  Of course then I had to pull out my sewing machine and use black thread and well honestly just went crazy!!! I used a few new punches I bought on sale for the little row of flowers at the bottom which I added silvery/gray pearls to and also made the circle and butterflies from a punch that I used on some extra paper I distressed.  I colored these two Goth Babes in Copics of course and added them to the fun.
I wasn't so sure how I liked my creation when I first finished it - but in the end - I love it - BECAUSE I HAD SO MUCH FUN SPLASHING, INKING, DREMELING AND SEWING and let's be honest what fun new images!!!  So now it's your turn - what will you CREATE??

  10. Wow, Melissaa, I love this card. The colors, sentiment, images, sewing ... everything just goes so beautifully together. Now, you had me roflmbo with all the "tools" you pulled out and used. If your husband was watching you I would love to know what was going through his mind ... probably thought you'd gone over the edge lol! But it was worth it cause this card is fabulous.
