Reaching New Heights with Paperie Ink

Hi ya everyone!  I created this card with the new Paperie Ink stamp set Balloon Ride.  The flowers, critters and balloons were all colored with Zigs.  The mountains are from LDRS Creative and were also colored with Zigs.  The sky and sun were both stencils that I inked with Catherine Pooler Inks Fiesta Blue and Tiara.  I had so much fun creating this card.  I hope you enjoy and that you'll join me on my Facebook page Made for Creativity and my instagram page melissamade2.

Dream - Meljen's Release

 Hi ya everyone!
  New release at Meljen's Design this week!  I LOVE this release...I like girly things because I have two sweet girls.  Growing up I was a tomboy but now - for whatever reason I'm turning into a person that loves pinks and pearls and that is the challenge at Meljen's Design Challenge blog.  I had to play even though it's my week to create anything!  I mean really -- look at this release found at Whimsy Stamps:

Also, I must add that I've been checking out Debbie Olson's site - Thinking Inking.  She is super amazing and her creations are inspiring.  I used her stitching technique with nestability cut-outs for this card.  Please check her blog out - I'm sure you will want to follow her. 
I started by coloring the adorable ballet slippers with my Copics.  I added a bit of sparkle with some Spica pen.  I used my nestable and cut out some pretty shapes in two different papers. 

 Added some paper from my DCWV stack for the main background and used my MS punch for a border.  I added some pearl accents and also colored a few pearls with my Copics.  I pulled out my sewing machine and added the stitching down one side.  I used my Copics to color my ribbon as well and added a tiny charm.

Count Your Rainbows - Tiddly Inks Challenge

  This week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog we are asking you to join the fun with COLORS!!!  March is a fabulous month as we start to welcome the spring - so what better way to celebrate the month of March than with COLORS!!!  March is COLOR ME month at Tiddly Inks!  The Design Team has cooked up some amazing inspiration for this weeks challenge - Rainbows - use as many colors as possible - so stop by if you get a chance and join the fun!

I used this sweet little Tiddly image called Spring HuggABugg.  She can be found in the Tiddly Inks store HERE.  First, I colored her with my Copics.  I cut her out with my oval nestables and then added colored dots with my Copics.  I used white gel pens and highlighted certain areas.  I inked the edges of the oval with Tim Holtz Black Soot.

 I then used papers from my DCWV stack (the stripes) from the School Stack and also used papers from my Cosmo Criket stack (yellow).  I used black paper to line each element and then stitched each together using black thread on my sewing machine.  I made a few punch flowers with my small flower punch and added some gems for the center.

I added a shiny red ribbon down one side and then used pop dots to pop my Tiddly Image off the page.  I then added this great sentiment from the Inkadinkadoo stamp set - "Count Your rainbows, not Your Thunderstorms"!

I Believe In Fairy Tales - Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #70

Hi Everyone,
  I love little fairy images and this Tiddly Inks fairy is just too cute!  I chose this for the "Out Of This World" challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday.  They have a great design team and some wonderful prizes for winners - so be sure to check it out.  I really love the background paper I chose - it's a KaiserCraft paper called Lilac Avenue Collection.  The fairy image just worked with the paper - so I chose to make her dress and shoes purple.  Once I finished coloring her with my Copics (have I told you how much I LOVE my Copics - he he) I cut her out VERY carefully!

 I computer generated the sentiment and placed all papers on my Bazzill light green paper.  I inked the edges of the card and sentiment with my Stampin' Up light purple ink from the Bolds set.  I tied the shear purple ribbon around the background paper and twirled the ribbon down the paper and adhered it at the bottom with a glue dot.  I added the sentiment and then the fairy.  Finally, I added a number of rhinestone gems and then stickled the fairy and the flowers with the Stardust Stickles.  I like how this card turned out - and I do believe in Fairy Tales - don't you?
