Hope Your Birthday is Sweet as Pie - Meljen's Food Challenge

Hi Ya Everyone,
I think that the Christmas hustle and bustle happens earlier and earlier every year.  We haven't gotten through Thanksgiving and my head is spinning with Christmas plans.  There's been so much going on hear with my sweet Anna too - she's seven and having a hard time with reading - which was a surprise to us since she's been read to since she was first born and has been reading wonderfully to us too.  However, we've increased our reading time with her to almost an hour a night.  We've had a lot of fun doing so too!  She reads we laugh a lot and then she reads some more.  It's so amazing to watch her grow.
Now, on to my card and an announcement!  First, let me tell you something really awesome!  Whimsy is having a 50% off sale on ALL Meljen images!!!  That's just ridiculous!!!  So head over and get some digi's while the sale lasts!  Here is the new release:

Oh so cute right???  I love these images - the pie's are SO much fun to color - that's why I chose Hot Apple Pie.  My boss's birthday was the 9th so I colored this with my Copics.  I computer generated the sentiment "Hope Your Birthday is Sweet as Pie" and cut everything out with my circle nestable.  I then chose my scalloped circle and cut a piece of my Stampin' Up paper for a background to the image.

I chose this striped paper from my stash and layered it on more Stampin' Up papers.  I then wound some green hemp twine around the edge.

This card was simple and sweet!  Head on over to Meljen's Challenge Blog this week where you can join in the challenge - Food.  Don't forget to stop by Whimsy's too!  Oh yeah, and a new Meljen's release in rubber for all you rubber lovers!!!
Enjoy!

I'm getting hungry reading your blog tonight!!! :) Your coloring is so good, the pies look good enough to eat! ;)

How do you print the sentiment in a circle (what program do you use)? That would be a great tutorial...
