It's chilly in Ohio this morning. Frost on the ground in those fine white crystals that loos so soft. The bird bath was frozen over and it's definitely feeling a bit like Christmas. Now, I know, it's not even Thanksgiving Melissa, so put away the tinsel and let's think turkey. But, as a crafter, you know, Christmas has to start early so you can finish all your Christmas cards! So here's one of mine.
I used the cute SugarPea Design set, Here Comes Santa Clause . Colored them in my Copics on a single layer card. I usually don't do single layers. Even if I'm making a CAS card I usually will have a layer on top of my card base. However, I did it different this time and like the results. The only thing I would change is the Santa in the foreground gloves and trim. I made them black thinking cuffs of the gloves and boots. The other Santas I colored with the white fluff trim which looks more appealing to me.
When I was finished, I didn't like all the white space in the top left so I added some simple red and green washi tape. These little Santas are super cute and would look great on some tags too. I think that's my next project with them.
Love it!
