One Exhausted Hippo

Hi ya everyone, sharing a simple technique using second generations stamping with some adorable LDRS Creative Stamps.  I wanted to make the hippo look like she had been dancing and fell down.  The sentiment, I'm here for you, that comes with the adorable Hippo Hooray Stamp Set is perfect for a pick me up card.
First, I stamped the fallen Hippo in Hybrid Ink Raven.  Next, I inked up the dancing hippo in Hybrid Ink Alloy and stamped it lightly on a piece of scrap paper.  Then I stamped the image fully lining up the feet of the fallen hippo with the feet of the dancing hippo.
I used watercolor markers to color the fallen hippo brightly to make it look more in the foreground.  I then took lighter colors to color the hippo dancing to make it look shadowed or in the background.  I then stamped the sentiment in the Hybrid Ink Raven.
Next, I cut out the hippos and sentiment in the beautiful Eyelet Lace Rectangle Die. I used the rectangle portion for these hippos.  I then used the eyelet die to cut out a polkadot paper in turquoise from the 6x6 Sweet Sensations.
I then used my paper trimmer to take off the eyelet portion as I wanted to use the larger polkadot paper in the background.  If you want a larger rectangle, this set is so versatile as you can trim off the eyelets and save them for other projects!
Next, I assembled the whole card.  The larger polkadot was cut 4 x 5.25 inches and adhered to the A2 size card base.  Then I layered the rectangles.  Last, I added sequence.  The inside of the card says, until you dance again.
