Return to Fall - Tiddly Inks Challenge

Hi Everyone! I am so excited to share this card with you.  I've been thinking about it since Christy announced this weeks challenge at Tiddly Inks!  Please go check out this challenge and her stamps - they are truly beautiful.  Anyhow, I used this little couple called As You Wish for a few reasons - one this reminds me of my hubby and I!  Second, I'm a sucker for romance!  Actually, my sweet husband listened to me talk about this card and then couldn't stop giving me his own ideas! LOL - isn't he wonderful and supportive!  Anyhow, on to this card

I used Copics to color the man and woman to match a summer theme for him and a fall theme for her.

The transition between the two seasons were to start between the two of them.  I cut the tree and leaves our from Stretch Your Imagination.  I cut out a ton of leaves in 6 different shades of green and fall colors.  I didn't end up using half of them but I have them for other projects I guess! I decided to use this awesome clock design paper from my Tim Holtz ideology stack as it fit the theme perfect.  Summer does go so fast doesn't it!?

I inked the edges of the card and leaves in a number of Stampin' Up inks - ruby red, close to cocoa and garden green.  I adhered the paper to the creme card base and then popped the tree shadow and tree down with pop dots.  I then took my Copic marker and colored a few lines on the tree.  I added my leaves, popping up some for a three dimensional look.  Finally I popped the couple off of the tree.

I added some clouds next - I would recommend doing this before placing the tree! LOL - I took summery clouds from a set of stickers I had and used them as is - but for the fall side I took the same clouds and inked them with ruby red and nearly navy to have more of a dark fall look.  Finally, I added some hands to one of the clocks and the little captured in time sentiment and the sticker in the upper left hand corner.  I then went to the inside - used the same clock paper as the outside and placed a creme paper with the sentiment that was computer generated.  I added a little clock sticker to the inside too!

This card belongs to my sweet hubby for all his support and love!
Enjoy!
