Skin Deep - Tiddly Inks Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone!
Well, it's late Friday night and I just finished up my Tiddly Inks card for this week!  Now, I've had a long week.  Lots at work to do - worked a bit of overtime which is rare.  Baby got sick and then hubby got sick!!  So, needless to say - I created a few things here and there but felt a little drained artistically.  I got some very good advice from a friend (wink wink) who told me to rest - I took the advice and was able to come to my craft table tonight and work on this card - I'm so happy I did too!  I love the results - yes, it's a bit different for me - I like cutesy and romantic and I went a bit more dramatic and creepy since Halloween is approaching!  I love the sketch that was provided this week over at Tiddly Inks - check it out and come on join the Tiddly Ink fun!
Now, I'm going to explain a bit about how I put this card together.  First, I started in Power Point on my computer...if you don't have this but use some other design program it should be similar.  I made a 6x6 square and put Gossmere on top to get an idea of the size I wanted her to be.  Next, I made Goss really big and placed her in the background.  I also made another large Goss.  So in all I printed out the normal one to color, I printed out a large Goss on my Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper and used this as the background.

I also printed out one more large Goss and used that to color the sections I wanted to cut out.  I took my Copics and colored those in color.  I took the normal Goss with all her showing and colored her in all cool grey tones.  I then followed the sketch adding more of the Vintage Shabby paper and my Cricut grey paper for a base layer.  I fussy cut Goss out and inked all edges in my black StazOn ink.

I added some swirly gems and popped the two colored sections after lining them up with Goss in the background.  I computer generated the sentiment!

In the end - I added some Stardust Stickles to her waist scarf, to her crown and her barrettes.  I loved coloring her - more so then I thought - I'm not really a Goth girl - but every now and then - I like to go a little dark!  Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the Tiddly Inks Challenge this week!! I promise you won't be disappointed!!
Enjoy!
