Hi ya everyone!
I made this card for a few challenges this week. The first being the Some Odd Girl challenge (also did you know they are having a DT call??) - Use your bright colors. I chose this adorable stamp called Rainy Mae and can be found in the Some Odd Girl Shop. I colored her in my Copics choosing colors that would match the bright yellows and blues in this butterfly paper.
I left her shirt white because the challenge at Copic Creations is to color white clothing. So I just shaded in a few cool gray tones. The Copic Creations blog is a great place to find tips and tricks with coloring - and the inspiration is awesome!
I also followed the sketch at the Deconstructing Jen sketch challenge blog. She has wonderful sketches! Once I colored Mae I followed the sketch and used my Fiskars punch along the bottom.
Added some brown stitching. Stamped the sentiment with an Inkadinkadoo stamp in Versafine brown. I then doodle the butterfly lines following the pattern on the paper. I added some baker's twine and these sequence flowers I had in my stash. Lastly, I used my small butterfly punch to make a bottom border.
