A Cozy Fireplace - forget the lights - Tiddly Inks Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
This week there is ANOTHER anything goes at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog!! Woot!  It's fabulous this time of year considering things start to get SO very busy - and let's be honest - we all need to fatten that Christmas stash - so why not get a Tiddly and join the fun!! You could win more Tiddly images!
I've been working on a few techniques that I've learned in my Copic certification classes.  This one is using radial light from a source such as the fireplace.  You can see that I've tried to highlight areas where the fire light would fall.  I'm learning and hopefully will improve but I love the effect.
For this card I used Minnie's Christmas Lights and Christmas Mantel - both can be found in the Tiddly Inks store.  I love how Christy the creator of Tiddly Inks makes her images SO very easy to layer.  Each image is filled with white - not clear - when you choose the png file.  This allows you to layer them one right on top of the other with out ever opening up a complicated program - no erasing and no fidgeting!! Love it!

  6. How cute, I love the effect of the fire. I just love the way you did the bricks on the fireplace I would have colored to the edge and the look would not have been good. Love the dotting. Not sure if you knew but my blog got removed by Blogger, but after several frustrating days I got it back yesterdau

  16. Great job, the radial shading is fab. I love Copics, it's so cool what you can do with them. The wood and brick work looks lovely too. What a fun scene you created too. I often feel like this when decorating for the holidays. If I am not the one all tangled up in the lights, it's one of my kids. ;D
