Girls Just Want to Have Fun - Meljen's Challenge

Hi ya everyone!  Another darling release at Meljen's Designs and all can be found at Whimsy Stamps right HERE. Take a look:
Perfect images for those girly cards that we all love to make!  I loved this image called Girl Talk.  Reminded me so much of my oldest.  Gabbing a mile a minute about how she likes to have fun!  I colored the girl in Copics to match this adorable paper I have from DCWV called Girl Stack - I think!
Actually all the papers are from this stack except for the pink which I grabbed out of my Reds and Pinks Cricut stack.  The challenge this week is to use punches - so I used my little heart border and corner punch from Martha Stewart.
The sentiment is from a clear stamp set I bought that's all about girls.  Don't remember who made it though.  I then cut the sentiment out in a set of nestables!  Thanks for taking a look at  my oh so girly card.  Head over to Meljen's Design Challenge blog and join the fun - but don't forget to pick up some stamps at Whimsy while you are at it!

I LOVE being a girl! - Some Odd Girl Challenge

Hi ya everyone,
I decided to enter my first challenge at Some Odd Girl!  I love their stamps and really wanted to participate in their challenge this week that is all about Scallops!  I bought this cutie Sigh Mae at the Some Odd Girl store.  Isn't she a cutie patootie?
I saw her and realized I had this sentiment that says "I love being a girl" and I knew that the two would go perfect together.  I colored up Mae in my Copics and fussy cut her.
I set her to the side and cut out an oval with my nestable in which I stamped a butterfly background from Inkadinkado and the sentiment (sorry can't remember the stamp company).  I then used this Basic Grey Paper from the Kioshi stack and cut a small square to place on top of my scalloped square that I cut with my Cricut.  I trimmed the Basic Grey paper in some lavender colored ribbon and mounted the whole square on the scallop.  I didn't like the way the ribbons came together so I covered that with some cute brown buttons.
I set Mae off to the side to show off the paper and sentiment.  I then used my Tim Holtz peeling paint and inked the edges of my card.  Lastly, I added a faux stitch with my gelly role pen.  Love this card because of the paper and that ever so dreamy Mae - who just LOVES being a girl!

Girl Power - Crafty Creations Challenge

Hi Ya Everyone!!
This week at Crafty Creations we are having a FUN challenge for you!!!  I LOVE this challenge and had so much fun with it - Fairytailes and Fables - and GUESS WHAT - Meljen's is sponsoring - WOO HOO!!  I chose to use the stamp Riding Hood from Meljen's.

Melissa at Meljen's Design has a ton of stamps that fit into this fun challenge too so swing by Whimsey's and check them out.  So remember to head over to Crafty Creations and have fun with this challenge.
I decided to use the Card Patterns Sketch this week too!

I love Card Patterns and once I had a sketch - putting together this card was a cinch.  If I had a bit more time I wanted to make a bookmark with Granny Wolf but was just too busy!!  Maybe soon.  Anyhow, this card is easy - colored up with Copics cut out with my nestables and used some gems, ribbons and buttons.

Thanks for stopping by and head over to Crafty Creations, Meljen's Designs and Card Patterns!! :oD
Enjoy!
