Hi ya everyone! Here we are at day 2 of our blog hop! I hope you all enjoyed each project that was posted yesterday and are ready for more yummy inspiration! Again, I will be giving out some fabulous ribbon (your choice) from The Prairie Bird Boutique...
Now, on to my card. Today I chose an image from Kenny K downloads called Trouble Maker. I like her because the melting ice-cream reminded me of how my hubby makes me feel...all melty inside! LOL - so the sentiment was computer generated first - Valentine, you melt my heart.
I colored her with my Copics. Isn't she a cutey - so Red Hot right?
I used my nestables to cut the sentiment out and then backed it with some Basic Grey Urban Couture paper. The entire card paper is from that same stack. Each element was inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain. I used the tag from this Basic Grey set and trimmed off the tip so it was no longer a tag. Next, I used a few things that Patsy had sent me when I ordered my ribbon from The Prairie Bird Boutique. I love to recycle and the ribbon comes in this fabulous little scroll with printing on it. So I inked the edges and placed that on my trimmed tag.
Next, I cut an oval with my nestables in a distressed brown and inked the edges. I placed Trouble Maker on the oval to the side so her foot looks like it's resting on the oval. Next, I took some small flowers that Patsy had placed around the sweet bags that her ribbon is delivered in, and lined a bit of the oval. I finished off with some gorgeous brown crinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique, added a red button with inked twine and placed some red and white pearls here and there.
Oh, I also added a heart that I distressed and inked. I hope you like this card as I loved how it turned out! Now, don't stop here...hop on over to Yolie's blog to see what spectacular something she's created for you today!
