Meljens Desing Lots-O-Lovin' Blog Hop!!!

Hi ya everyone - boy do I have a special treat for you!!  Today our Meljen's Design team is adding a few new members!!!  We are so excited to have these three wonderful artists (Darsie, Robbie, Candace) join our crew and to celebrate we are having an awesome blog hop with lots of giveaways!!!  Get this - each Meljen's DT member will post a project and whatever stamp they use you could win that stamp (details for winning my stamp below)!!!  Now isn't that fun - there are also lots of prizes on your first stop - the Meljen's Design Challenge blog!  Comment on each post and qualify for four Meljen's digital stamps! So make sure to go through the entire list - and the best part is you have a few days to complete the hop! If you don't happen to win the stamp you just love then head over to Whimsy and pick up a few of the new releases.  There is also a fun challenge on the Design Team blog - unique folds - so if you have a fun fold card; gate, easel, etc. join in!

You should have arrived here from Marlena's blog!  Wasn't her card just DELICIOUS!!!  Here is the new release images:

I chose Bug-a-Boo frame and I fell in love with that sweet little ladybug! 

This was a very easy card for me.  I took the image and cut with my rectangle nestable.  Next, I took three shades of my Tim Holtz distress inks, worn lipstick, brick red and tattered rose and inked the whole stamp.  Next, I colored the little bug and hearts with my Copics.  Lastly, I used my white gelly role pen and inked certain portions of the stamp.

I took some delicious Basic Grey paper from the Olivia stack and mounted the stamp on top using a black piece of card stock directly behind the image for a contrasting edge.  Isn't this paper cute though - little animals poking out all over!
The last thing I added were a number of flower gems using my iRock.  I then took my Copics and colored a few of the centers to match the card.

    Wow! Melissa! Love your color selection on this! That background paper is really great! I have never seen that before! It's a total toss up for me. I really love the image you used, but I also love the puppy with the heart. There is no way I could pick between the two. They are both my favorites! Hee! Hee! What a fun hop! TFS!!!
