For My Special Somebunny with Paperie Ink

Hi ya everyone!  Today I'm sharing a new shaker card I made with the adorable little stamp set called My Somebunny from Paperie Ink.  The set also comes with little cute chicks but I decided to just use the potted bunnies for this card.  The Postage Slimline Die is from Whimsy Stamps.  The images were colored in Copics and the background was inked with Catherine Pooler It's A Boy.

We BEE-long Together with Paperie Ink

I had so much fun last night creating this card with everyone during my Facebook LIVE that followed my sister's.  I decided to pop up a few more hexagons and add some gold splash to the white die.  I stamped a sentiment and made a little banner.  Please head to Made for Creativity on Facebook for more information and the LIVE that can be watched as a replay.

Beary Much with Reverse Confetti

Hi ya everyone!  I'm sharing a card I made yesterday while crafting with my sister, Erin Thompson, from Everyday Expressions.  We had so much fun!  She brought this adorable set from Reverse Confetti and I fell in love.  This set is called Flowers for a Friend.  These sweeties were colored in Copics.

The paper in the background was inked with Catherine Pooler inks, Hot Tub and Sage - this combo matched my BG90 Copic marker.  I added some simple white highlights and glitter to the images.  I also used the beautiful die from My Favorite Things called Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangles.

Sending My Love - LDRS Creative

I am so in love with the two new sets at LDRS Creative, If Friends Were Flowers and the one I used for today's card, Love and Smell the Roses.  You guys, these are the most beautiful and versatile stamp sets.  If you don't do florals, it's worth it for the perfect sentiments!  I love that the dies come right with the stamps too!  That way the set is together without thought.  Today, I'm going to show you how I created a beautiful Mother's Day card.
I want to do a no-line coloring so I stamped the flower images in Pink Tutu Hybrid Ink on alcohol ink friendly paper.  No line coloring requires a lighter ink to stamp your images so that the ink doesn't show through as you color.  Pink Tutu was perfect for this!
Next I chose paper from the 6x6 Sweet Sensations paper pad to match my alcohol marker colors to.  Once those reds, yellows and oranges were chosen, I began to color.
I used the dies to cut out each individual piece I stamped and colored.  The dies fit the flowers so perfectly, it was easy to line them up and run them through my die machine.  The other amazing news - NO thin pieces to snip apart with a tool.  These dies all come individual with no work involved.
I then used my Waffle Cone stencil with Swimming Hole Hybrid Ink to create a small panel.  I simply placed the stencil on white paper cut 3.25 x 4.5 inches.  In circular motion I aded the Swimming Hole Ink to the stencil and paper.  I kept my touch light especially close to the sides.  I didn't want the pattern full on the paper as I thought it looked a bit like a flower trellis.
I then stamped the love sentiment in Dan-D-Lion hybrid ink to match the yellow paper I chose from the 6x6 Sweet Sensations paper pad.  I cut that piece to 4 x 5.25 inches.  By the way, the Dan-D-Lion ink matches this paper perfectly!  I love how the LDRS Creative products work so well together.
Before adhering the flowers to the card, I stamped a sending my sentiment with Alloy LDRS Creative Hybrid Ink.  Last, I adhered the flowers on the trellis blue background with glue and foam dots for dimension.
I adore how this card turned out.  I did add some sparkle to the roses and a few clear embellishments to finish.  Truly, these sets are so wonderful to play with.  It makes card making and design so simple.

Mix and Match Your Favorite Stamps - LDRS Creative

Hi ya everyone!  I want to share a little Valentine's Day card I made using a number of fabulous LDRS Creative products.  I have to say, my favorite thing to do is use my stamps in combination with other great stamps.  I was going through all my gorgeous LDRS Creative stamps and found three sets I wanted to use today, Happy FallCloud No. 9 and Beautiful Blooms.
I started by stamping the adorable rabbit and mouse from Happy Fall in my LDRS Creative Raven Hybrid Ink.  I then took the balloons from Cloud No. 9 and stamped them close to each the rabbit and mouse, again in Raven Hybrid Ink.  How cute that both critters got each other balloons?
Next, I took my fine tipped marker, and extended those balloon strings to reach each animal.  I added a few curly ques to match the already drawn string.  I also colored the stamps in one of my favorite watercolor mediums, zig clean watercolor brush markers.
Then I used my Eyelet Lace Rectangle Die Set to cut out this adorable scene.  I used the plain and simple rectangle die that comes in the set.  Next, I cut a piece of the gorgeous LDRS Creative 6x6 paper Sincerely Yours using the eyelet die that comes in the set.
I adhered my striped die cut paper to an A2 size card base, then adhered my rectangle die cut scene to the card.  Last, I stamped a sentiment from Beautiful Blooms stamp set in Raven Hybrid Ink as it went with this cute scene perfectly.
I hope you enjoyed today's Valentine's Day card!  Make sure to join us each day for new tutorials and creations that are meant to inspire you.

You are so Loved - SugarPea Designs

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I'm guest designing for SugarPea Designs and I’m super excited to share a simple project with you using one of my favorite stamp sets, Pretty Peonies.  The sentiments that come with the images are perfect and the font is so pretty.
Today, I did something a little different, in that I created the same card twice, one on white cardstock and one on kraft card. The style looks very different even though it’s the same design.

First, I stamped the image in Versafine Clair Nocturne on white cardstock.  Then I colored the image with my Prisma Pencils.  I used the same colors on both the white and kraft.  However, you can see below, how different the looks really are.

Once the images were colored I used the SugarCut Postage Stamp to cut the edges and then placed both on an A2 base with the same color as card used to color.  I think the outcome is beautiful and it shows the versatility of your stamps!

Better Together with SugarPea Designs

Hi ya everyone!  I’m super excited to share my first project with you as a SugarPea Designs Guest Designer!  I decided to try my hand at the new April challenge!  Have you checked out the gorgeous sketch and color palette?  I’m in love with those colors.

I decided to use the adorable Better Together stamp set.  How SWEET is this image with that sketch and fantastic color palette?

Darling right?  I simply cut down a piece of Copic blending paper to a 3.5 x 4.5 inch and stamped these cuties in memento ink.  I then colored them up in an assortment of pastel Copics that match the April challenge color scheme.  I adhered a bit of twine and mounted that to the OH SO CUTE pink pastel polk-a-dot paper from the Spots and Stripes Pastel Paper Pad.

I then added a few white dots with a gel pen to mimic the cute paper from SugarPea Designs.  I hope you will join the challenge this month and stop by tomorrow for more amazing inspiration.

XOXO - In Love with Stencils!

Today, I wanted to go for something a bit different.  No coloring this time, just some gorgeous inks, stencil and papers!  I used the dotted rounds stencil with my champagne Delicata ink.  The combination is shimmery, light and gorgeous.    Look at the shimmer!

I layered it over some paper I received years ago in Cocoa Daisy kit.  I also added the beautiful chipboard sentiments that Whimsy has from Make It Crafty.

Forever and Always - Whimsy Stamp Release Day 4!!!!

It's another release day at Whimsy Stamps!  Check out this adorable bird image, Sweet Love Birds.  I did want them to look like love birds so I found the right colors through a google search!  I stamped them in Memento Ink on Hamermill Color Cover.  I colored them in Copics, taking a lot of time to darken areas to add more contrast.

I spent most of my time coloring this image, so the card design was a bit more simple.  The sentiment is a bit of a sneak from a set that will be coming out in February that I know you will love.

Make sure to go over to the Whimsy blog today and check out the inspiration from the wonderful design team.  Then head over to the shop to pick up some new stamps!

Fairy Sweet - New Release at Whimsy Stamps!

Hi ya everyone!  It's day 2 of new releases at Whimsy Stamps and the best news is you can purchase any of the stamps right now.  Today, I'm super excited to share a new sweet fairy called Flower Fairy.  There are also two other new fairies being released that are too cute for words.  I colored her in Copic markers and used a fun sparkly technique on her skirt that you can watch Zoe from Make It Crafty give a tutorial on.

I created a fun summery scene for her, which I feel is me dreaming as temperatures have reached an all new low here in Ohio.  I also used paper from Whimsy stamps called It's a Party.  The bling I added is also from Whimsy Stamps.

Please pop over to the Whimsy blog and see all the new stamps!  I've added links to the new fairies below as well.
