Hi ya everyone!
This week at Crafty Creations the lovely and oh so talented Claire aka Hope Jacare asked us to use this poem for inspiration:
A Red, Red Rose
Oh my luve is like a red, red rose,
That's newly sprung in June:
Oh my luve is like the melodie,
That's sweetly play'd in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry.
Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi' the sun;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only luve!
And fare thee weel a while!
And I will come again, my luve,
Tho' it were ten thousand mile!
Robert Burns

So beautiful...so with that in mind I colored one of Claire's gorgeous rose images called Art Nouveau Vase 2 and it can be found here at Stitchy Bear Stamps. I first masked these lovely roses and vase and inked the entire thing with my Tim Holtz Red Brick. I took off the mask and used my Copics to color up the rest. I also added a bit of smooch to the rose heads for an added glimmer.
I cut a number of My Minds Eye paper with nestables. Added a bit of crinkle ribbon and used a few new stamps for the sentiment! (one was a studio G and I don't remember what the roses were from).Thanks for check out my card and head over with your creation to the Crafty Creations Challenge blog!
