Hi! - Help For Katie and Mo Manning Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
Well, I got a bunch of projects done this weekend and am so happy to share this one with you!  I purchased all the wonderful digi's for the Help for Kaite cause - one because I love this community and it's outreach programs and two because so many of my favorite digi stamp designers donated images - such as Tiddly Inks and Mo Manning.  Currently on Jak Heath's site you can enter a card for a number of very cool prizes too!  Check it out and join the challenge.  I decided to use this cute Mo Manning stamp called Sprout and it can be found when you purchase the Help for Kaite set.
I also wanted to enter the Mo Manning color challenge this week of red, yellow and orange!  Love these colors and had so much coloring this sweet stamp.  I used my Copics to color her.
I cut her out with my nestables first then inked using my Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade ink pad.
I used a number of Cosmo Cricket papers and the polka dot is from my scraps but I believe it's part of the Olivia stack from Basic Grey.  I added a bit of orange ribbon and stamped the Hi! sentiment!  Please join the fight for Katie by purchasing this awesome digi set at Jak Heath's blog and join in the fun at Mo's while your at it!

Sweet Hearts - Meljen's Challenge

Hi ya everyone!!! Two posts in one day - wow that never happens! LOL if you are looking for my tutorial for She's A Sassy Lady scroll down!

A new release for Meljen's Designs at Whimsy Stamps.  Oh my gosh - so cute and perfect for Valentine's Day - check it out:

The challenge at the Meljen's Designs Challenge blog is to create something with hearts.  Well, I used a ton of hearts - my paper from My Minds Eye had a lot to start with and I made a little card that has a 3/4" side edge for a little box of candy hearts to go in.  I then colored this cute Meljen's Stamp - Little Cupid - with my Copics.  He also has a few hearts here and there!
I cut him out with my nestables and added a red background too.  Before I attached him to my candy box I added a shear ribbon.  Then on the inside of my card I fashioned a small box that fits a small box of conversation hearts.

I then added another cutey cute Meljen's stamp - Conversation Hearts - because what would go better here?
I colored those in Copics as well.
I also added a little sentiment that says - You are so sweet.  I thought that was fitting since this has some candy in it.
My daughter wants to give it to her teacher for Valentine's Day - Good Idea - don't ya think?

A Treat for Four Feet! - She's A Sassy Lady Tutorial

Hi ya everyone!
Today at She's A Sassy Lady I'm sharing how to make this little doggy treat jar!  Thanks Sheila for letting me share again today!  My hubby and I have friends that lost their old doggy and recently got a puppy!  He is ADORABLE - a black golden doodle - now have you ever heard of a BLACK golden doodle! LOL he is just the cutest so we decided to make Dexter a little gift.
I started with a left over jam jar.  I removed the label and ran the jar through the dishwasher.  I measured the height of the jar and the diameter of the lid.  My jar is about a 4 inch high jar and the lid is about 2 inches across. I also took a sheet of paper and measured around the outside of the jar and it was close to 8 inches.  On my Gypsy I used the new Lite cartridge Four Legged Friends and placed paw prints randomly around the page.
Next, again with my Gypsy, I made a circle and it's shadow using George and Basic Shapes for the 2 inch lid.  I also added the sentiment from Four Legged Friends that says "Wet nose Warm heart".
I cut a sheet of brown vinyl on my Imagine for the paw prints.
After the prints were cut, I rubbed them down with a flat wood stick and took a sharp tool and peeled away the layer of vinyl I wasn't going to use.
I just poke through the top layer and peel back at a sharp angle making sure that no prints came away with the excess.
I used transfer tape and again using my wooden stick rubbed the paw prints so they would adhere to the transfer tape.
Next, I peeled back the tape at a sharp angle making sure the paw prints came with it.
My hubby helped here by holding the jar as I wound the tape around the jar.
I  rubbed all the prints to the jar and slowly peeled back the transfer tape.
I also added one little paw print to the inside of the jar lid.
Next, I cut the circles and sentiment with the Imagine and adhered the circles together using my Xyron.
I then glued the words to the sentiment.  I used my ATG gun and taped the round tag to the top of the lid.
I used some beautiful crinkle ribbon and tied a little bow around the top of the jar.  Finally, I added some milk bones!
I hope that Dexter enjoys his treats and his little treat jar.
Thanks Sheila!  Head on over to She's A Sassy Lady for more fun and lots of tutorials!!
Hugs

Spice It Up - Crafty Creations Challenge

 Hi ya everyone!
This week at Crafty Creations we are challenging you to add a bit of spice to your life and warm things up!  Either with a project with coffee or hot chocolate or spice things up with a spicy color or how about a spicy food or maybe some hot embossing??  I decided to use my new Tim Holtz inks!  I love the Spiced Marmalade and used that and Fire Brick red to color the heart in this adorable Tiddly Inks character called All My Heart which is a Lilly Bean character.  I took an ink dauber and followed the tutorial from Tim Holtz found here.  I then took my water brush and painted the image using this technique.
My paper is not good enough for this and I'm back to the drawing board to find a paper that I can print on and use my inks.  I paper pieced the large heart after coloring it.  I cut Lilly using my nestables ignoring the heart since I was placing the inked one on top.  I took a straight edge and carefully cut Lilly's arm out and then nestled the heart underneath.
I then used My Mind's Eye paper to coordinate.  I stamped the sentiment Happy Valentine's Day with my embossing ink and then used a red glittery embossing powder and heat embossed.  I then inked the edges with Spiced Marmalade.  Please join us and let's get out of the winter blues by heating things up at Crafty Creations!

Minus a Day - Tiddly Inks Challenge

Hi ya everyone!  This week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog we are challenging you to use your favorite quote or phrase on your project.  Now, if you are like me and think that there are too many quotes to call just one your favorite that's ok.  Just pick one and go with it - let it inspire your card.  Tiddly Inks has so many cute and new digis right here.  If none of those tickle your fancy then check out the whole shop right here.  If money is tight and you need a freebie check that out here!  Also, now is the time to buy some of these cutey cute stamps because Christy is having a SALE!!!
Look, so many wonderful options for cute Tiddly stamps.  Remember to qualify for prizes and badges you have to use a Tiddly Ink stamp.
Ok, on to my card!  I used this cute little stamp called purrfect.
Oh my gosh, isn't the look in both of their eyes just adorable.  You know that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you find the sweetest little animal and you just don't want to let it go - almost like your souls are communicating.  Well Christy captured that in this image and I've been waiting for the "purrfect" challenge to use it on - the quote is from Winnie The Pooh and I just love it: "If you live to be 100 years I want to live to be 100 minus one so I never have to live without you."
Now you tell me if that sentiment isn't just perfect for this sweet image!  I used a number of papers from My Minds Eye for this card.  I also used other Tiddly Ink stamps: flutterflies and Love Me Sweet.  I printed Love Me Sweet and sentiment on the first sheet (turquoise) for the background.  I colored the little girl and kitty with my Copics and cut the purrfect stamp out with my nestables.
I then cut the flutterflies in plaid, colored their bodies with my Copics and popped just the wings off the paper.  Finally, I added a bit of Stardust Stickles to small portions of the card for an extra bit of pop!  Head over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog and join our challenge - "Quote Me"

i will always love you - Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

 Hi ya everyone!
Guess what! I made a card just for fun!! Woo Hoo - I've really been wanting to join the challenge over at Stephanie's challenge blog called Whimsical Wednesdays.  Her and good friend Jess have set up a fun and not so strict challenge.  They are challenging us to use either a Disney character or an Alice in wonderland character.  Lucky me that I've just stumbled upon some ever so cute stamps at Some Odd Girl.  These are just the cutest and this Mae as Alice Pose is just too cute...doesn't she look so dreamy?
I love it - I colored her with my Copics cut her with my circle nestables.  Next I used my fancy nestables - don't know the name sorry and cut that in a red and white polka dot from Basic Grey.  Then I used some of My Minds Eye for the background paper.

Nothing fancy here - added a sentiment with a studio G dollar stamp.  Lastly, I took the cute little rub-on hearts and placed them around Mae as Alice so she would look even more sappy!!  I had fun creating a card for this challenge and I hope to do it again!  Head over to Always Crafting for Whimsical Wednesday and join the fun if you get a chance!

Wanna Spoon? - Meljen's Challenge Pink and Red

Hi ya everyone!! I had a great time making this fun card, the new Meljen's Design stamps at Whimsy Stamps are just too cute and perfect for Valentine's Day!
Here is the new release:

Please join us for our Pink and Red Challenge at the Meljen's Design Team blog!  I colored each of the images with my Copics.  The images I chose were the Fork and Spoon, V-Day Boxers, Little Brazier and Lacy Panties and they can all be found at Whimsy Stamps.
Once the images were colored I cut them with my circle nestables and then cut out a background in pink with my scalloped nestables.  I popped each image off the background.  The layout of this card I set up using this sketch - feel free to use it if you'd like!  I wanted to use this sentiment because hubs and I love to snuggle.  Now, for the moment you are all waiting for the inside!!! LOL  Enjoy!

Celebrate - Birds and Polka Dots

Hi ya everyone,
This week at Crafty Creations we are having a challenge and asking everyone to make a project with a bird and polka dots!  The design team has some pretty cute cards so please check them out.  We also have a special guest designing with us this month Nana Donna!  So be sure to check out her blog: Card Dreams by Nana Donna.
My card was simple.  I used a studio G $1 stamp and stamped three birds in differing colors of Stampin' Up ink, the word Celebrate and some music notes.
I then used coordinating paper from Stampin' Up.  I used my MS punch and added some crinkle ribbon using this technique I watched on She's A Sassy Lady by DT member Kimberly at My Craft Spot.  Thanks for stopping by and head over and join the challenge!
