Wishes Wall Hanging - Some Odd Girl

Hi ya everyone!!  I have been super excited to share this little project with you using the beautiful Nouveau Girl - Wishes.  I created this fun and whimsical wall hanging using a plaque I picked up from our local scrap store.  I painted it white, roughed the edges up a bit and added some Lindy's Gang Shimmer.  I added a piece of blue vintagey paper and then added this FUN silver mesh I received from iCopic.  After coloring Wishes, I fussy cut her and set her aside.
I had some GREAT mulberry paper flowers from I Am Roses as well as this great big blue butterfly from Recollections.  The sprays and ceramic roses with the ribbon centers are from KarlaS001 Etsy shop.  I then took some chipboard letters and painted them with primer and then white acrylic paint.  While they were wet I covered them in fine glitter!
Did you know the Odd Girls often have special projects that we share every week?  You should head over and be inspired.  Barbara created a FABULOUS ticket holder HERE and Leah C made some fabulous cupcake toppers HERE too!

Happy Birthday Christy and a bit of Tiddly Trivia!!!

Hi ya everyone!  Christy Croll, designer and owner of Tiddly Inks, birthday is finally HERE!!!  We are celebrating on the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog!  The Design Team created some fabulous Birthday cards just for the occasion.  Not only are those being showcased on the blog but we have some fun TIDDLY Trivia too in which you can win gift certificates to the Tiddly Inks shop!!!  WOOT!!!

Distress Inks and Stamping

Hi ya everyone! I am sharing with you a brief tutorial on using Distress Inks to paint an image at The Bug Bytes today.  I've made a video tutorial to share with you, but first I will share with you the supplied I used to create this fun card.  All supplies were purchased/supplied at iCopic and from Sheila a Close to My Heart representative. Supplies: Distress Inks - Broken China, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade Staz-On Paper - Ranger Inkssentials and My Mind's Eye - Stella Rose Water filled brush Adhesive Twine Stamps - Close to My Heart - A Garden
This paper from Ranger worked amazingly with the Distress Inks.  The paper didn't pucker or change at all!  This is amazing really as even watercolor paper changes a bit.
This is a very easy technique and can be fun and add a unique twist to your artwork! For more fun projects please visit The Bug Bytes!

Thank You Mae - Some Odd Girl Spring Release

Hi ya everyone!
I have a tutorial below on using Copic Various Inks for creating a cloud background!  But right now I want to share with you a new set of clear stamps that's being release at Some Odd Girl!  Meet Thank You Mae!  Isn't she sweet!  She also comes with a large number of thankful sentiments and a cute banner too!

Don't forget to pick up this sweet little Mae too!  We will have more amazing creations with these stamps throughout the week!
OH and I forgot to mention that Alyce won the new Gwen stamp set!!! WOOHOO!
Alyce won Gwen in Bloom – check out the details on the SOG blog!

Creating a Copic Ink Cloud Background

Hi ya everyone!  Today I'm sharing a simple airplane card I made using Copic Various Inks and Close To My Heart stamps that I purchased from Sheila at She's A Sassy Lady.  Sheila is now a Close To My Heart representative and so I ordered my very first set from her to give them a go!  I really love the quality of these stamps.  Sometimes when you purchase clear polymer stamps the quality is poor and your stamped image comes out blurry or not complete.  I have to say these stamps are fabulous!

I also used my Copic Various Inks in a spritz bottle to create a cloud background for this card.  Various Inks are fabulous for spritzing like this because they are alcohol based and dry quickly.  This is great because your papers won't crinkle or warp like water based inks.  I show you how in the following video!

Items used:
CTMH Summer Set - Splendid Day Copic
Various Inks - B000 and B0000
Spritz bottle
White paper - for background, card base and for cutting out cloud shapes
Cutter Bee Scissors
Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye - Happier
Black Ink - I used Versafine Onyx Black Adhesive

Thanks for watching today!  If you'd like more fun projects please visit She's A Sassy Lady.  Have questions?  Ask in the comments below!

April Showers

Hi ya everyone!  It's my day to share on the iCopic Lover blog.  This little adorable girl is from Wild Rose Studio Clear Stamp - Mia in Kimono.  I think I'm in love with this stamp company.  The images stamp very clear and they are also a nice size.
I stamped Mia with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on my X-Press It Blending Paper.  I colored her in my Copics of course and paper pieced her umbrella.  However, I did take my E09 and E97 Copics and added a bit of color to the umbrella for dimension.
I also added some Opaque white to the umbrella sticks, her eyes, and her flower with a toothpick.  I decided to keep this a small and simple card as it's going to be used on a gift for a friend.  It is a 4x4 card with a bit of stitching.
I hope you enjoyed my little card today and don't forget to join our fun challenge this week - V family colors.  I added a bit of violet with my Copics to her flower and find myself more and more in love with the V Copics! Can't wait to see what you create!

Thinking of You - Some Odd Girl New Release

Hi ya everyone!
Today I'm sharing another Some Odd Girl new release digi called Happy Tia.  I love digi images as you can change their size and decide exactly how you want them on your card.  I use Power Point to resize and print.  You don't need a fancy program at all for this.
I paired her with this adorable paper from My Mind's Eye and made a little banner for the sentiment.  It's a simple design but I love showing off my papers sometimes too!
I used the following Copics (remember to click the picture to enlarge)
Stop by the Odd Girl blog to see what my teamies are up to and to have a chance at the release image today!  You'll love them I promise!

Egg-specting - Tiddly Inks and a new Wryn!

Hi ya everyone!  It's Tuesday and that means new images at Tiddly Inks.  I love this little image- Wryn Eggspecting.  It was so much fun to color the nest and eggs too - I think this is a great image for Easter or spring.  Also, a new baby!  That's why I paired it with this sweet sentiment from My Craft Spot.
Once I colored the eggs I added a bit of color and texture to make them more lifelike and also to pull out more colors that are in my papers.
I used a lot of markers for this image too!
Don't forget to swing by Tiddly Inks and pick up your very own image and join our fun challenge this week - Fabric Fun!
