A Vintage Koala - 7 Kids Crafts

Hi ya everyone!  This month I decided to join the fun at 7 Kids Crafts and make Vintage Coin Artist Trading Cards.  I used the adorable new stamp set from Picket Fence Studios called I Wish We Could Hug.  You guys, these Koalas are SO cute and they are a bit larger than some stamps so perfect for those A2 size cards.  Artist Trading Cards also known as ATC's are a fun way to share your specific style, usually a Mixed Media, on something you trade with other crafty friends.  The theme this month is Vintage and Coin (circle 2.5")

I stamped my Koala pair on watercolor paper in Acorn Versafine Clair.  I only stamped once to create a more vintage messy look.  I water-colored these in Zigs and cut them out.  I then inked the edges with the Acorn Ink.  For my background, I used a print sheet from my old Sears catalog.  I used distress inks with a stencil to create the pattern on the paper.  Then adhered the Koalas.  Last, I added a postage stamp to the top and Prima Icing Paste with a stencil.  I then added some adorable pink lacquer dots to finish.

Join us at 7 Kids and on the Facebook Customer Create page.  You can find all the details there about these fun cards and how to trade yours with the 7 Kids community!  Also, did I mention that Mixed Media products at 7 Kids are on sale right now!  You can get up to 20% of Mixed Media products!

Smile

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I have something a little different to share.  I recently joined a group of friends that create ATC cards and swap to each other!  I have had so much fun creating little ATC's and seeing what others create too!  This was a one on one swap I did with a friend who is a dog lover!  So what better image to use than Tiddly Inks Dog Days.  I colored him in Copics and used Echo Parks Everyday Eclectic paper.

Noah ATC - Meljen's Design

Hi ya everyone!!!
It's Thursday!  One of my favorite days of the week because it's release day at Meljen's Design!!  This set is so super cute and you will want each one!  Check out this adorable Noah's Ark set:
I'll wait while you head over to Whimsy Stamps to buy the set =) - I'm patient like that!  LOL
I really had a hard time choosing which images to use for our challenge at Meljen's this week - Artist Trading Cards.  But I settled on Little Noah and Noah's Ark (can be found here) for one and will hopefully have time to create more using the other animals because man are they cute!!  ATC's are 2.5 x 3.5 cards that are supposed to highlight your talents as an artist - they are meant to show off your skills!!  Well - I'm not sure what my skills are so I colored Noah in Copics and paper pieced the ark.   I used paper from a Cosmo Cricket Stack.  I also used my nestable to cut an oval for the background.
In the end I wanted to add some little rain drops but found NONE in my stash (*note to self  buy more stuff*)  so I settled on these sweet little rhinestones!  Head over to Meljen's Design Challenge Blog and join the fun - ATC cards!
