Cupcake Catastrophe and Friday Top 10 with Cocoa Daisy

Hi ya everyone!  It's Friday, and therefore, time for another top 10 here at Melissa Made.  Today, I'm sharing one of my new favorite obsessions, Cocoa Daisy!  Cocoa Daisy has FANTASTIC kit subscriptions.  I have to say, they have the best kits around.  The above layout was created using the May kit - Record Label.  The only two things not in this kit were the black thickers (March add-ons) and my white acrylic paint for splats of cupcake.  The little folder is a great place to journal too.

This is such a fun story about my little one turning three.  She was so excited about her yummy cupcake, that she dropped it!
Tears quickly ensued before we could even tell her it was ok, she could have another.  Finally, a new one was plopped in front of her and she was all smiles once again! Now, on to my top 10.

Top Ten Reasons Why I LOVE Cocoa Daisy

10. I don't have to think about it!  Everything is right there for me.
9. A FABULOUS variety of products: from twine to paper to embellishments, did I mention everything already matches?  Check out the June kit!! YUMMY!
 8. Beautiful colors that are trending and new (and they match).
7. A super fun group to chat with and hang out with on release days (28th of every month)!
6. Project life kits, scrapbooking kits, and stamp kits for each month, oh and they match :)
5. An easy to access gallery to upload your projects.
4. Lots of inspiration in the gallery and from the wonderful design team members.
3. AMAZING customer service and quick shipments!
2. Beautifully packaged products that come completely in-tact and undamaged.  More June deliciousness!
1. I'm scrapbooking again!!!!!!  This is HUGE for me as I didn't want to take the time to find things to match.  Now, I store my kits in large ziplock bags and everything I need is there.  My time to scrapbook is cut in half and I still have a beautiful layout when I'm done!
*I am in no way paid by Cocoa Daisy or provided with any of their lovely products.  I truly just LOVE them and subscribe and pay for their monthly scrapbooking kit!*

A Measure of Happiness

Hi ya everyone!  I created this fun layout using my Cocoa Daisy kit and a number of items from SP & Company.  I used the stamp set called Journal This.  It's great for scrapbooking and I love the type font (this is and love).  I stamped them in the new inks from SP & Company too, which I love, the color is Ocean Waves.  I also used the new buttons, and they are awesome because they come in so many different sizes.  The largest ones are perfect for layouts.  Everything else came in a Cocoa Daisy kit.  If you don't know them, check them out, their kits are FANTASTIC!

Be You, Be Crazy

Hi ya everyone!  Today, Tiddly Inks is releasing a number of beautiful clear stamp sets.  You can see all the new clear stamps on Christy's blog.  There is also a 15% off sale for all clear stamps!  Make sure to head over and check out all the details!

I created the layout above using a number of fun products.  The flower stamps are all from the Home With Harmony set at Tiddly Inks.  The ink is the new ink from SP & Company called Avocado.  The other items in the layout are from my April Cocoa Daisy set and add-ons.  I love the Cocoa Daisy sets as it makes scrapping so much easier for me.  I love making layouts but had always been intimidated by all the items that I didn't want to piece together myself.  These sets are perfect!

OH, Happy Day!

Hi ya everyone!  I'm sharing at SP & Company today and thought I would share here too!  I made a layout using a whole ton of gorgeous goodies from SP & Co too!

I chose the adorable Build a Banner 1 stamp set and coordinating dies for my little banner that says happy.  It fit so perfect and those banners are the perfect size for cards and layouts.

I also used the new flamingo pink buttons that are in so many fun sizes and styles.  The Oh, Happy Day! sentiment was from the Glam Girl Emma set and the sunshine stamp from Sunshine Emma set.

You can see I added a little subtle hint of more sunshine stamps in the background paper behind the picture.  Another stamp I used was the medium polka dot background stamp behind the picture as well.  These stamps add such a nice subtle texture to card stock and I couldn't resist making the plain a little more fancy.

What Could Be Better??

Hi ya everyone!  There is a new sketch at Some Odd Girl this month!  I just started receiving the Cocoa Daisy kit every month and this paper came with February's kit, and well I LOVE it.  I couldn't wait to use it for something fun.  Those bubbles are just adorable, and the paper matches the Some Odd Girl stamp set Make a Statement.  I stamped the You & me in Versamagic.  I also used the Everyday Smiles stamp set for the sentiment "what could be better?"  Now seriously, how perfect is it that the LOVE bubble is the one that showed up???  Yeah, I planned that :)

Isn't this a gorgeous and simple sketch!?  I love it and found it nice to whip out a card like that.  Won't you join us for the challenge?  There is a fabulous prize for the winner!!
