Always Late with Paperie Ink

Hi ya everyone!  You all know how much I adore that new and little Etsy shop Paperie Ink!  Well the artist came out with another new release and I could not wait to color up the sweetest little sloths ever called Happy Vibes.  They are so cute and I colored them in Zigs.  The background was created with my Catherine Pooler Inks and a Simon Says Stamp set called Stronger Together.

Mixed Media Love

Just a quick share today using the adorable stamp set that was available  through Simon Says Stamptember from SugerPea Designs.  I created a fun mixed media background with paints and stencils then cut them into strips.  I layered them and cut them with a stitched circle die.

I colored the koalas in my Copics and then sponged them with a cloth and colorless blender.  I popped them up on the circle background.  The background is just splattered with some twinkling H2O watercolors and then I used VersaMagic to stamp the small hearts.

Let It Snow Pop-Up - Lawn Fawn

Hi ya everyone!  I have wanted to join a Simon Says Challenge for awhile and I'm finally getting to it!!!  They have a fun one right now, Pop It Up.  I wanted to make this cute scalloped pop-up box from Lawn Fawn and this was the perfect opportunity to get started.  My sister over at Everyday Expressions gave this to me as a gift!  If you've never been to her blog, you really should.  She is so creative and has such an eye for gorgeous color combinations!  I also used the cute older stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Critters In the Arctic.

Bear Hugs

Hi ya everyone!  It's time for a new challenge at Tiddly Inks.  The fun challenge is to add a charm of your choosing and I've had this adorable little panda charm for so long.  I made my own paper using the Dylusions ink spray, cut grass and lemon zest, with a Tiddly Inks clear stamp called Grow Old Friends.  I embossed the Tiddly clear stamp set with Simon Says Clear embossing powder.  I did all of this on the Rangers Water Color Paper.  I colored up the image Beary Sweet from Tiddly Inks with my Copics.  The sentiment and heart is from a Simon Says Stamp set called Circle Friends.
Make sure to use your stash of charms and join the fun challenge happening now at Tiddly Inks.

Will YOU be my Valentine?

I've really been enjoying my Card Kit Subscription from Simon Says Stamp.  I really never thought I would be a big fan of a card kit club, but I honestly find it so easy to make quick cards with this kit.  With a four month old, five year old, and eleven year old, my time in the craft room is short.  Anything to get a few cards made for my sanity however, is a life saver.  The price is reasonable and each month I get a new stamp set that is fabulous.  This is the February set.  It came with beautiful vintage papers, a gold gelato, this cute paper clip, rub-ons and a fantastic stamp set that included this sentiment and hearts.

A Fun Merry Christmas

Hi ya everyone!  This is a just for fun post.  I've seen a number of people using white embossing powder for their outline on fun images.  The look is beautiful and always leaves me saying wow!  I decided to give it a try with Distress Ink water coloring.  I used the adorable stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Christmas Characters.  They were embossed with Versamark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder on Ranger watercolor paper.  I then used a number of Distress Inks to watercolor the image.  After, I embossed the Simon Says Stamp Be Joyful sentiment and the candy cane stripes at the bottom of the card is Hero Arts Silver embossing powder.  I finished with my Wink of Stella clear brush and then added some glossy accents to the nose of Rudolf, Santa's boots and belt and the carrot nose on the snowman.

Gratitude at Tiddly Inks with a Shaker Card

Hi ya everyone!  I made a shaker card since they are all the rage!  This is a design team make for the current challenge at Tiddly Inks:  Gratitude and Joyfulness!  Make sure to head over and check out the creations and the FREEBIE!!!

I used the adorable image Thanks Fairy Much and colored her using Distress inks.  I used the Ranger watercolor paper and Stazon jet black ink for the image.  This paper is great for adding lots of water so it doesn't warp.  There is also a textured side like normal watercolor paper and a smooth side which is great for stamping!

Back to Blogging

Hey all!  It's been awhile since I've been in the crafty game.  I've been working on a little something different.  Here's a quick peak...
Our baby boy was born on October 14th.  The whole pregnancy was a bit hard, but he's here and we are beyond happy!

Now that he's here, I've missed crafting so much and am back in the game.  To make life easier I decided to join the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit Club.  I love it!  Everything I need is right there and I can make simple cards quickly.  I've also found a few other products I love.  Embossing powders from Hero Arts!  I love the silver and gold..wow, serious shine and metallic color.  Here is a quick card I made using the November Card kit.

It's a bit hard to see in this picture, but check it out below.
I hope you are ready for me to be back in the swing of blogging!!!  See you soon.

Merry Christmas!

Hi ya everyone!
I love WEE stamps!  I won a few the other day on a giveaway and then I went back and got some more.  They are in digital form from Sylvia Zet and you find them right HERE.  A few are also available in rubber at MarkerPop.  I used the new Simon Says Stamps dies and clear stamp called Small Folded Banners Holiday for the Merry Christmas.  The holly leaf is a die cut from Sizzix called Holly w/Berries #5.  The lace is from Ribbon Carousel and the paper is from Glitz Joyeux Noel.  The bling can be found at MarkerPop and is from Prima Marketing.  The base was made with Bazzil cardstock String of Pearls
This card will be available in my Etsy shop.
