Sending Love with VersaMagic

Hi ya everyone!  I'm sharing a very simple card I made using VersaMagic ink!  Do you ever want your ink to really show up beautifully on darker papers like Kraft?  I show you how fantastic VersaMagic is for this very purpose.

Espresso Yourself

It's a coffee kind of day, don't you think?  I created this fun shaker card using the adorable Coffee Break stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.  I love this set as it's perfect for all those everyday cards.  I thought turning it into a shaker card was a nice touch.  I stamped the coffee beans in Jumbo Java VersaMagic Ink and set it aside to dry.

I used Emerald Green Delicate ink to stamp the coffee cup and then I colored the cup with the Delicate Emerald Green ink by using a fatastix brush tipped applicator.  I embossed the sentiment at the bottom with Versamark ink and white embossing powder.  I finished by adding the shaker elements from a number of sequences I had in my stash from Whimsy.

Bring on the Chocolate - Whimsy Stamps Release Day 2

 Hi ya everyone!  Day 2 of Whimsy Stamps release.  Today, I'm sharing with you the cutest little gecko red rubber stamp called Gecko Love.  I inked the background with my VersaMagic Chalk Inks.  Then colored up this cutie with my Copics.

After I colored him in Copics, I went back used my Copic Opaque White to add some adorable little spots on him.  I think they added some nice highlight and some fun interest to an otherwise green gecko!  I'm already thinking about Valentine's Day can you tell!?

You're the Tricera-tops!

Keep coming back to these cute dinosaurs from SugarPea Designs called Prehistoric Pals!  I wanted to use my VersaMagic inks to create a fun night sky.  VersaMagic inks are a very smooth chalk ink that are so easy to blend.  I love using them.  Simply put them on with a make-up sponge and swirl.  You get really nice blending this way and any areas with sharp edges can be smoothed out.

I colored the cute little dinosaurs with Copics.  The stars for the sky were actually just a weird thought I had while looking at my son's stickers.  I took star stickers and put them down on the paper after sticking them to my shirt multiple times to remove a bit of the stickiness.  Then I blended over with my inks.  Removed the stars, and ta-da.  Beautiful night sky!  Easy, fun and cheap stencil, right?

Then I took my yellow versa magic ink and went over the white star spots with yellow!  I love the look.  I ended with the cute sentiment from SugarPea Designs and some nice stitched rolling hills from Lawn Fawn.

With Love

Hi ya everyone!  I've been trying to go outside of my comfort range, which you know is Copics and adorable images, and do some different types of coloring.  I've been playing around with water colors and I even picked up some Memento dual tipped markers to see water based markers were all about.  I, of course, still use adorable images and this one is no exception, it's called Knit Wit.  These cute little balls of yarn and sentiment are from SugarPea Designs.

After masking certain yarn balls and doing some repeated stamping on water color paper, I colored them in Memento Markers in the Girls Night Out four marker set.  I use them much like my Copic markers and you can see they blend pretty nicely.  I did find that I need the water color paper however, as my normal Hammermill sort of shredded by using them like Copics.  I think  you could use normal paper you just can't go over the paper repeatedly.

I also watercolored the top of the paper with my VersaMagic inks.  I thought it added a nice light touch to the otherwise plain paper.  

Snow Fun - Whimsy Stamps and VersaMagic fun

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I have a simple yet fun card using my Whimsy stamp set called Penguin Winter Adventures.  I used my VersaMagic inks from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko to create the fun striped background with The Crafter's Workshop stencil called Weekly Circles.  I created a video for you too.  I also colored the little penguins in Copics.  I love how the chalky inks blend so nicely!  I get no harsh edges with the VersaMagic either.  I simply create and let the ink dry!

Look how gorgeous the colors are and how easy it is to match your inks with your markers!  I love when I can match multiple projects that are not from he same manufacturer.  Take a look at my video and see how I lay out my VersaMagic inks to make it easy to make my Copic Markers to each color.

You are Loved - A watercoloring experiment

Hi ya everyone!  I've been venturing into a new world of watercoloring lately.  Now, it's sort of with a twist, as I don't have a ton of watercolors.  I used my variety of VersaMagic Chalk Inks.  They blend well and go onto paper so smooth.  I created this card using the adorable image I got from 7 Kids called Caring for My Little Ones.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and then created my background with my VersaMagic inks.  Lastly, I used the same inks to color in the image of the girl.  I finished by adding some sparkle with my Wink of Stella and white dots on her dress with my Sakura white gel roll pen.

You've Been on My Mind

Hi ya everyone!  I'm sharing a little something different today.   I wanted to mix my love of mixed media to my cards.  So I made this brightly colored creation with my VersaMagic inks, my shabby chic frantage embossing enamel and some smooth blending card from Hammermill.

I used my Night Sky, Turquoise Gem and Pretty Petunia VersaMagic chalk inks on a sponge and simply worked the colors onto my HammerMill Paper.  Next, I used The Crafters Workshop stencils to make some simple dots with my VersaMagic Midnight Black ink.  Then I used another Crafters Worshop stencil to make the background letters with White Cloud VersaMagic.

Lastly, I added my embossing enamel.  Then I took my VersaMark embossing ink and used a white embossing powder for my sentiment.  I love how this fun card turned out.  Have a great day!

Friends at Christmas

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I'm sharing a sweet card I made using a number of products from 7 Kids Crafting Supply Store.  I got this adorable stamp called Christmas Boy With Pets from Stampingbella The Littles.  This stamp is small and it's OH so cute!!  I loved coloring it up in my Copics.

I used this amazing product from Stampendous too called Frantage Shabby White Embossing Enamel thanks to Stéphanie Beauchemin.  I also did the background with my lovely VersaMagic Chalk Inks in Thatched Straw, Pixie Dust, Pretty Petunia and Sea Breeze.  

The paper is also from 7 Kids and it's a 6x8 paper from Bella Blvd called Santa Stops Here.  I got a lot of amazing products from 7 Kids and I'm telling you the shipping is SO FAST.  I couldn't believe how quick!  I love getting my things quickly!  The sentiment if from Whimsy Stamps and is called Abstract Christmas.

Winter Snowflakes - Whimsy Stamps Day 2 Release

Hi ya everyone!  Another sneak peak today at the new release from Whimsy Stamps.  These images will be released on October 6th.  I love this snowflake set from Whimsy.  It's a clear stamp set and there are matching dies.  In addition, to make life easy there is a whole snowflake background.  Take a look:

Gorgeous!  I love having snowflakes for my creations and these are perfect.  You can make a gorgeous background or use the smaller flakes for a scene.  In addition, there are gorgeous new red rubber stamps showcasing Kirsten Winkelbauer on the Whimsy blog:

I used my VersaMagic chalk ink in various colors and simple stamped the snowflakes in random patterns.  Once this dried I added a thin strip of colored card stock.  On the card stock I added a sentiment from the set.  I love the font!  Finally, I added an adorable glittery enamel dot from Whimsy's set called Winter Wishes.  You can't tell from the image on the shop but they are so gorgeous and glittery!

The Cream in My Coffee - Whimsy Stamps

Hi ya everyone!
Occasionally, I like to make a simple card that is a bit masculine.  I typically have a hard time with cards that are darker in color and have a more plain feel.  However, Whimsy Stamps has made that easy for me!!  For this card, I used the clear stamp set called Coffee Break.  I also used VersaMagic Chalk Ink and white paper.  That's pretty much it but for the circle surrounding the sentiment.

I stamped the beans and coffee rings in two brown colors, Jumbo Java (ironically) and Sahara Sand.  I stamped the coffee mug in Ocean Depth.  The sentiment was curved along the top of the circle cut (one of the GREAT things about clear sentiments) and stamped in the Jumbo Java.  This was such a fun card to make and simple too.  I didn't have the appropriate papers, so I made them!!!!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Hi ya everyone!  My hubby is turning 38 this month and he loves his gaming systems.  I created this 4.25x5.5 card using the adorable Polka Dot Pals Andy.  The script sentiment from Avery Elle, So Happy, was stamped in Jumbo Java VersaMagic Chalk Ink.  The papers, Americana, are from K&Company. The image was colored in Copics.

Smiles Across the Miles

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I have something a bit different for me.  You all know how I LOVE my Copics, but I also love playing around with all my fun ink pads.  All of these adorable SP & Company stamps were inked up with my Versamagic inks.  I used the Chevron, Medium Polka dot and Sunshine Emma stamps from SP & Company on Neenah cardstock.  I loved combining the colors right on the stamp for a great affect and chalk inks work GREAT with clear stamps too!  Make sure to head over and join Challenge #8 - Fun with Inks to win a prize!

What Could Be Better??

Hi ya everyone!  There is a new sketch at Some Odd Girl this month!  I just started receiving the Cocoa Daisy kit every month and this paper came with February's kit, and well I LOVE it.  I couldn't wait to use it for something fun.  Those bubbles are just adorable, and the paper matches the Some Odd Girl stamp set Make a Statement.  I stamped the You & me in Versamagic.  I also used the Everyday Smiles stamp set for the sentiment "what could be better?"  Now seriously, how perfect is it that the LOVE bubble is the one that showed up???  Yeah, I planned that :)

Metal Challenge at Whimsy

Hi ya everyone!  New challenge on the Whimsy Stamps Challenge blog today.  It's a fun one and will get you to use those stashed metal embellishments.  The challenge is to use metal and I did so with my button that's a bit hidden under the butterfly and also on the little brad on the seed packet.  I used a number of fun embellishments on this creation.  The stamp is from the new release at Whimsy called Vintage Seed Packets 2 which I stamped in Versamagic Ink.  The seed packet die is also new from Whimsy.  I used a piece of chipboard from Whimsy too, called Butterfly Swirls which I painted with acrylics.  Last, but not least, the paper is from the new paper from Whimsy called New Beginnings.  The lacey die is from Cheery Lynn Designs and the leave pattern is as well.

There is a new release at Tiddly Inks today!  I'm so loving the new images Christy has and these foxes were a nice break from coloring people!  Aren't they adorable?  I actually used the clear stamp set called My I love You.  It comes with the adorable hearts and the awesome quote! You can also purchase this sweetie in digi form HERE.  There are a number of other images released this week to that you can catch over on the Tiddly Inks Blog.
For my card today I used my Copics to color up these cuties and used some Simple Stories paper Documented.  The hearts were stamped in VersaMagic ink.

Everyday Smiles with Some Odd Girl

Hi ya everyone!  Quick project for today's release at Some Odd Girl.  Did you see the new release?  It's so fun all sentiments and graphics.  Perfect for simple creations or adding fun sentiments to your elaborate creations.  I used the whole set, left it on the sheet it came on and inked it up and stamped.  So simple and easy!!!  Check out the release at Some Odd Girl!

  We have a new inspiration post today at MarkerPop.  One of the things I love so much about my Copic markers is that you can color your own embellishments.  It's difficult to see in this picture but the bling on the side from Say it in Crystals Prima Marketing is colored with RV34 to match my image.  The image is from CC Designs and is called Kiki La Rue Latte.  The banners were cut using the Spellbinders Lacy Pennants and Pennants dies.  I stamped them in Pink Petunia VersaMagic ink using the My Favorite Things Stamp set Always Time for Tea.  The sentiment is from the Always Time for Tea stamp set as well.  Join us at MarkerPop where DT coordinator Samantha shares a video on how to color your embellishments.  Also, at Created from Color I have a tutorial on coloring your own ribbon.  This card can be purchased from my Etsy shop.

Live Long

Hi ya everyone!  It's the weekend and I've been feeling under the weather.  BOO!  But, on Friday before I got sick I created this simple little card using two challenges at Splitcoast.  The first being, a collage with stamps.  This is interesting as I'd never thought to stamp mulitple images with different colors to produce a fun collage of stamps. I like the turn out though.  I also used a sketch in the Clean and Simple challenge section.

I used Ocean depths and Pixie Pink Versamagic ink, with my Tim Holtz Slight Alterations red rubber stamps and Unity Feb. 2012 Kit of the Month stamps.  The ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel - Pink V-striped Twill and White Spidy Lace Crochet ribbon.
