Your Heart with My Favorite Things for Facebook Live

Finally sharing the card we created on our Saturday Night Live with Made for Creativity my Facebook page.  This adorable little bear from the SY set available at My Favorite Things was a perfect image for a Valentine's Day card.  I used my Zigs for the coloring!

Sweet Wishes with Penny Black

Hi ya everyone.  I created my first Valentine of the season using this adorable bear from Penny Black called Mini Little Charmer.  I used some beautiful paper from La-La Land Crafts called Little Merry Christmas Pack.  The red sheet in the background was made with Bristol Smooth paper and Catherine Pooler inks in Rockin' Red and It's A Girl.

I watercolored the bear and scene with my Zigs.  The background was done with Daniel Smith watercolors.  All was painted on 140lb Cold Press Arche's watercolor.  I used a Waffle Flower die to cut the pretty ruffles.  I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Sending All My Love - Imagine and Valentine's Day

Hi ya everyone!  I am super excited about Valentine's Day.  We have so many amazing things happening in our lives in February including our Anniversary, Valentine's Day and my Hubby's birthday!  So creating love cards is always so much fun.  I really love the purple, red and pink combo too for Valentine's Day.

Today, I share my tutorial on how I created the above card using the new Imagine Dewlet Dies and a number of fabulous inks that you might already have!  ENJOY

A Sweet Hedgie Valentine's - Whimsy Stamps Release

Simple Valentine's Day Card using Whimsy Stencils!

Hi everyone!  Here today with a brief card tutorial using the adorable new stencils from Whimsy Stamps along with the Cupid in Training stamp set!  I love the new stencils and they are so fun to use with the new Delicata inks that Denise now carries in the shop!  Here is the card I created.

This Won't Hurt a Bit - Whimsy Release Day 3

I'm a little late today as I feel terrible.  I got the yucky chest cold that's going around.  The most energy I have is to type.  I miss crafting and I haven't been to work in days.  Ugh, it's hit hard.  Anyhow, I created this fun card using a new clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps called Cupid in Training.  Isn't it hilarious...I love the sentiment. 

 The background was a watercolored background using Twinkling H2Os.  The paper is actually from a Christmas paper from Doodlebug Designs called Milk and Cookies.  The hearts and sentiment come with the clear set and so do a number of other cute stamps.

There is also a new rubber stamp being released today that I love.  Here's a little sneak of a card I made with her that I'll share next week.

Bring on the Chocolate - Whimsy Stamps Release Day 2

 Hi ya everyone!  Day 2 of Whimsy Stamps release.  Today, I'm sharing with you the cutest little gecko red rubber stamp called Gecko Love.  I inked the background with my VersaMagic Chalk Inks.  Then colored up this cutie with my Copics.

After I colored him in Copics, I went back used my Copic Opaque White to add some adorable little spots on him.  I think they added some nice highlight and some fun interest to an otherwise green gecko!  I'm already thinking about Valentine's Day can you tell!?

XOXO - Crazy for Chocolate Whimsy Release Day 1

Hi everyone!  It's that time again, new release images at Whimsy Stamps.  The new set is called Crazy for Chocolate.  It has some wonderful hearts and so many cute chocolates. It's perfect for Valentine's Day if you are starting to think ahead. 

     

 I decided to do a bit of a mixed media card for this release.  I used Memento Markers from Girl's Night Out, to create this background.  I stamped my hearts in Versafine Onyx Black and then used a water color brush to paint the marker onto the watercolor paper.

I then took my Copic Opaque White and put dots into the background and then circled them with a pen.  The sentient is also from Whimsy Stamps called Everyday Mini Sentiments.  There are so many beautiful creations from the design team today and a new rubber stamp that is being released called Bunny Love. 

The new stamps can be purchased on the 7th of this month!

Will YOU be my Valentine?

I've really been enjoying my Card Kit Subscription from Simon Says Stamp.  I really never thought I would be a big fan of a card kit club, but I honestly find it so easy to make quick cards with this kit.  With a four month old, five year old, and eleven year old, my time in the craft room is short.  Anything to get a few cards made for my sanity however, is a life saver.  The price is reasonable and each month I get a new stamp set that is fabulous.  This is the February set.  It came with beautiful vintage papers, a gold gelato, this cute paper clip, rub-ons and a fantastic stamp set that included this sentiment and hearts.

Love a Little Wryn

Have you gotten a chance to check out the adorable Tiddly Inks release?  It's perfect for Valentine's day!  I love this sweet Wryn called, Have a heart.  The whole release can be seen HERE.  The sentiment and stitched rectangle are from Lawn Fawn.  I also made this into a shaker card since they are so fun! Love Bug

I have another Lawn Fawn creation for you today!  This adorable stamp set is called Bugs and Kisses and is the perfect set for Valentine's Day!  I used Copics to color up the bugs and VersaMagic ink to stamp the tree, sentiment and leaves.  I used Lawn Fawn paper and a lace trim from Whimsy stamps.  The white cardstock is Neenah solar white! 

A Lawn Fawn Valentine's Day

It's the month of LOVE and I just can't resist Lawn Fawn lately.  Their adorable images are so cute and simple for this mom of three.  I took on making my daughter's Valentine's day cards this year even with the arrival of her baby brother.  These were simple and cute.  I stamped the image from Lawn Fawn called Color My World in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and washi taped crayons to the back!  So easy and such a cute and fun idea for kindergarten aged kids.  I also included colorful Skittle packs in each goody bag.

I love you MOST!

Hi ya everyone!  Today, we have a new challenge at Tiddly Inks.  You know, love IS in the air.  I love February for so many reasons.  Honestly, before I met my husband I really didn't care for Valentine's Day or February.  I had some pretty miserable Valentine's Days in the past and so I had soured to the whole idea of love.  Now, February is truly the best month ever; my husbands birthday is in February, our Anniversary is three days after Valentine's day and of course the day for love itself is in February.  For us, it's all about love!

I used the adorable image from Tiddly Inks called Love you Most.  I colored the image in my Copics and used the sentiment that comes with this Tiddly cutie.  The paper is the new Carta Bella pad called Devoted.  The hearts and crystal swirl is from Recollections.  The base paper is from Bazzill.  I love using Bazzill for my card bases, the colors are perfect and they are so nice and sturdy.  Make sure to join us for our Valentine's Challenge at Tiddly Inks!

Whimsy February Challenge

Hi ya everyone!  There is a new challenge on the Whimsy Inspirations Blog today!  The challenge is fancy edges!  I thought this would be a perfect challenge to use my Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities!  These are fabulous for making fun shaped cards.  I have a tutorial right HERE on how to make shaped cards using Spellbinders.  The adorable image is a Wee rubber stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Playful Kittens.  Four cuties come in this set with a number of sentiments.  I paper pieced the heart with my My Mind's Eye Blush paper.  The kitty was colored in my Copic markers.  The fancy edges that you see behind the kitty was made with the NEW Whimsy die cut Lace Doily Corner 2.

You and Me - New Release at Tiddly Inks

Hi ya everyone! There is a NEW and adorable release at Tiddly Inks this week!  This is just one of the many new images released called Love Fully!  I happened to use the clear stamp set but you can also purchase this gorgeous set in digital!

I colored the image in Copics and used some paper from the My Mind's Eye paper pad Ruby.  The ticket stamps from Whimsy called You're Invited were stamped in Versamagic ink and fussy cut.  The flowers are mostly from Wild Orchard.  The adorable heart is a charm that the lovely Christy Croll sent me!  Make sure to check out the new release images at Tiddly Inks!
