I LOVE CP Inks SO much!

 

Hi ya everyone!  Have you checked out the new DATE NIGHT inks from Catherine Pooler Designs yet?  Catherine is holding a giveaway on her instagram page @catherinepooler right now and you could win one of 8 $25 gift cards. 

I created this card using my four favorites out of this new ink release: Cummerbund, Do-Si-Do, Chiffon and Serenade.  The combo of these four colors created a stunning blended background with the new Scribbled hearts stencil.  

I also masked off the stencil and added some new Disco Ball embossing powder to one heart for a little pop.  I also added some of the new Romance Sequins to finish my card.

Catherine Pooler and Colorado Crafts Company Blog Hop

Today I've created two cards for you using Catherine Pooler Inks for a watercolor look.  For the first card I've used the beautiful Lovely Legs Autumn Season stamp set and used the Catherine Pooler Paradise Found ink colors to watercolor the entire scene.  I've also paired it with the beautiful Fall Pick-n-Mix paper pack and the Just Thanks sentiment Die.  

I also added some beautiful embellishment with the fancy Mystic Sequins from Catherine Pooler.  I used Acquarelle watercolor paper.

For the next card I created a fun Wizard of Oz inspired creation using the new stamp set from Colorado Crafty Company called Ruby Slippers which is part of their BIG and BOLD collection.  The sentiments in this stamp set are just fabulous and it was so fun to watercolor those shoes!

Again, I used Catherine Pooler inks to watercolor the entire scene.  To finish this card off, I added Wanderlust sparkle to the shoes for a very sparkly slipper.  I also added Catherine Pooler sequins in Crater Lake and Aspen to the want tip to look like Glenda's beautiful wand.

Rolling into a Birthday with Catherine Pooler Stamps and Inks

Hi ya everyone!  My daughter Anna will be celebrating a birthday in a few short months and she is such a Visco kid that the 80s totally speaks to her.  I decided a great card for her would be the four wheel rollerskates from my childhood.  She loves to roller skate with the old timey skates!  No in-line skates for that kid.  The Catherine Pooler new stamp set called Let the Good Times Roll is perfect for creating that fun birthday card.

The skates were colored in Copic markers.  The background was created by using Catherine Pooler ink refills to create a fun and stunning watercolor background.  I then heat embossed the hearts and stars from the set and finished it off with sequins.  The skates were popped up off the background with foam dots!

How You Roll - Catherine Pooler

Hi ya guys!  Have you gotten a chance to see the new Catherine Pooler roller skates?  They are so adorable.  Sometimes I struggle with making simple cards, but it's always a chance to pull out color bursts and try something different!  I took some of my Canson watercolor paper and added color bursts from the Catherine Pooler set.  I also colored up skates with Copics from the Let the Good Times Roll set.  I also added a sentiment and stars from the set!  Simple and easy but fun.

Sending a Sprinkle of Love - My Favorite Things

Hi ya everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card I made with the adorable new fairies at My Favorite Things called Flower Fairies!  I think they are so cute sprinkling their love.  I colored them in Copics.  The background was inked with Catherine Pooler Inks.  I used the MFT stencil called Mini Cloud Edges.  The die is a retired rectangle die from MFT as well!

I created this card weeks ago during a LIVE Facebook session at Made for Creativity!  I inked the sky with Catherine Pooler inks and used a number of MFT stamps in a no line coloring technique with my Copics.  I also used the cute die from MFT that gives you each of the individual windows.  The heart sequence is from Pretty Pink Posh.

Happy Easter with Stamping bella and Catherine Pooler Inks!

Hi ya everyone!  I colored the absolutely adorable Stamping Bella Bundle Girl Bunny with my Catherine Pooler inks!  First I stamp everything in a Twilight Catherine Pooler ink. Then I chose colors from the Party Collection (Lime Rickey, Something Borrowed, Party Dress, Tiki Torch, Tutti Fruity).  I also colored the bunny in Twilight.  

Here's a little trick though...for the sky, I first watercolored with my CP inks before stamping.  Then I went back in with a stencil to help form the clouds.  

Notice how I kept the bottom a bit lighter so that I could stamp and color without affecting the images too much.  You can layer some of the inks, but anything that's too bright really won't work.  But it's nice to get some background color down so you don't have to paint around the images so much.  Make sure that this is completely dry before you start adding color to the images.

Happiest Birthday Ever with MFT Stamps and Catherine Pooler Inks

Hi ya everyone!  Today I'm sharing a watercolor card I made using the adorable stamp set from My Favorite Things called Birthday Buds from Birdie Brown.  I love this stamp set, so many cute animals and perfect sentiments.  I used Catherine Pooler inks in the Party Collection to watercolor with on Arche's Cold Press 140lb paper.  

Is it Too Soon - Facebook Live with MFT and Hello Bluebird

Hi ya everyone!  I created this card during my Saturday Night Live Facebook card making at Made for Creativity.  I used the adorable Birdie Brown Adventure Awaits from My Favorite Things and Hello Bluebird's Story Book Friends.  The entire scene was watercolored with Catherine Pooler Inks on Arche's Cold Press 140lb paper.

Hello Eater with Stamping Bella and Catherine Pooler

Hi ya everyone!  New card today using the adorable Stamping Bella set called Bundle Girl with a Chocolate Bunny.  I also used the gorgeous stamp set from Catherine Pooler called Happy Place.  I used a Hello die from Simon Says that came in their latest card kit for March.  The entire scene was colored on Arche's Watercolor paper 140lb Cold Press.  The coloring medium for the scene is Zigs!

Some Bunny with Sweet November and Simon Says Stamp

I completed this card using the adorable little Shelly Bunny from Sweet November.  I also used the Stronger Together stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  I colored the scene with my Catherine Pooler inks during a LIVE video on Facebook at Made for Creativity.  

Warm Winter Wishes with SugarPea, Catherine Pooler and 7 Kids Craft Store

Hi ya everyone!  I created this shaker card during a Saturday Live that you can find HERE.  I watercolored using beautiful colors of Catherine Pooler inks that you can find HERE.  The stamp set is such a cute one from SugarPea Designs called Hey Winter.

I also used the adorable Postage Stamp Die to make the frame of our card.  I used the watercolor paper Arches 140lb coldpress paper.  In addition, I used my favorite watercolor brushes called Silver Black Velvet brushes in 12 and 8.  The sentiment was from the Evelin T Designs stamp set called Warm Winter Wishes.

Peace Love & Joy with Penny Black and 7 Kids

Well, I just fell in love with this sweetie from Penny Black and decided to put her on a simple card after coloring her with a no line technique with Copics.  The strip on the background was created during a live Facebook night and Catherine Pooler Inks.

I used large Whimsy Snowflakes from the Snow Flurry set and a Studio Light stamp set for the smaller background snowflakes.  You can check out more details on the LIVE video HERE.

Coffee Understands - Stamping Bella and 7 Kids Live

Hi ya everyone!  I created this during a Live Facebook that happens every Saturday at 8pm EST on 7 Kids Customer's Create Page.  I had so much fun and loved the help I got from everyone who joined me.  We decided to ink up this cute Stamping bella Curvy Girl Loves Coffee and color her with our Zigs!

I inked the sky with Catherine Pooler inks in Something Borrowed, Juniper Breeze and Black Jack.  The Life Changing Brushes from Picket Fence Studios are amazing for this technique.   Together, they created a gorgeous blended sky.  I also used Gesso to flick some stars into the sky.  The sentiment is from a Picket Fence Studios set called Coffee Understands and was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Simple and Easy Florals

Hi ya everyone!  Just a quick and simple post today.  I created a similar floral panel using the adorable Evelin T Designs clear stamp set called Evergreen Foliage that I bought at 7 Kids Crafts.  Florals in this size are perfect for creating simple layered designs.  I simply used my Catherine Pooler inks on the stamp, added a spritz of water and stamped.  I also watercolored just a bit with the CP inks to fill the background a bit.  Easy and simple!!!

The Little Piggy Says...7 Kids and Live

Hi ya everyone!  This card is a result of our fun Facebook Live at 7 Kids Customer's Create group that I host every Saturday.  We have so much fun creating a card together!  This week we used the super cute Hello Bluebird stamp set called Pig Day!

I watercolored the little pig with Zig clean brush watercolor pens.  I inked the background with my wonderful Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Brushes and Catherine Pooler inks in Grass Skirt, It's a Boy, Sugared Lavender and Fiesta Blue.  The background was cut with a Whimsy Stamps die and popped up with a shaker card in mind.

Whales on parade - 7 Kids and Picket Fence Studios

Hi ya everyone!  I created this card during a LIVE at 7 Kids Customer's Create Facebook page but never blogged and shared with everyone!  I used the adorable Picket Fence Studios stamps set called A Dose of Vitamin Sea.  I inked the background paper with the beautiful Catherine Pooler inks on Bristol Smooth paper.  I did mask the whales first.

I colored the beautiful whales with Zig Clean brush markers.  I used a Whimsy die for the border and then added sequence and bubbles with a white gel pen.  I stamped the sentiment in nocturne Versafine Clair Ink.

This was a fun and simple card to create and it turned out so beautiful with all the bright colors.  7 Kids Crafts has a number of Picket Fence Studio stamps available.  While the whales aren't there, you can find a number of adorable cuties!

One In A Million - Mama Elephant and 7 Kids

Hi ya everyone!  A no line coloring technique is a must with these adorable bunnies from Mama Elephant!  I think this might be my favorite stamp set of all time.  These little bunnies are just so cute and to pair them with a moon and stars theme was a perfect combo!

I inked the background with Catherine Pooler Inks to create a setting sun appearance.  I splashed white gesso for stars and water to create a splotched sky.  I then added stars.  Next, I cut out circles randomly on the card.  Each bunny was colored with a no line coloring technique and my Copic markers.

I placed the bunnies in each random circle.  The large bunny on the moon was placed in the corner.  Last, I attached small sequences and stamped a sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne from the same set.  Items purchased at 7 Kids Crafting Supply Store.

7 Kids Live - Shaker Card

Hi ya everyone! I love doing Saturday Night Lives on Facebook.  This card was a result of one just over a week ago.  I love this adorable Catherine Pooler set called Feathery Friends.  Also, at 7 Kids we have the new Versafine Clair and StazOn pigment inks!  I used the Versafine Clair to stamp the sentiment and bird, but used the Snowflake White for the vellum.

We created a beautiful shaker card with the vellum and sequence.  The bird was water colored with my Zig brush pens.  Last, I added Nuvo drops in eggshell.

A Newfound Love - Lavinia and 7 Kids

I've heard of Lavinia Stamps, but honestly, I didn't think they were my style.  That is until my sister talked me into giving them a try!  Now, I have a newfound love.  Coloring a gorgeous background and then letting the stamp silhouette sit on top of said beautiful background is striking to say the least.  I used Catherine Pooler Inks to blend a pretty background.  I used Queen For A Day, Rockin Red, Twisted Orange and Limoncello with my Picket Fence Studios blending brushes.   Next, I splashed on some water.  Finally, I stamped all those gorgeous stars in the sky with White StazOn Pigment Solvent Ink.  Last, I stamped the Fairy in Versafine Clair Nocturne.  I did add Sheer Shimmer spray to make it sparkle too!
