Cupcake Catastrophe and Friday Top 10 with Cocoa Daisy

Hi ya everyone!  It's Friday, and therefore, time for another top 10 here at Melissa Made.  Today, I'm sharing one of my new favorite obsessions, Cocoa Daisy!  Cocoa Daisy has FANTASTIC kit subscriptions.  I have to say, they have the best kits around.  The above layout was created using the May kit - Record Label.  The only two things not in this kit were the black thickers (March add-ons) and my white acrylic paint for splats of cupcake.  The little folder is a great place to journal too.

This is such a fun story about my little one turning three.  She was so excited about her yummy cupcake, that she dropped it!
Tears quickly ensued before we could even tell her it was ok, she could have another.  Finally, a new one was plopped in front of her and she was all smiles once again! Now, on to my top 10.

Top Ten Reasons Why I LOVE Cocoa Daisy

10. I don't have to think about it!  Everything is right there for me.
9. A FABULOUS variety of products: from twine to paper to embellishments, did I mention everything already matches?  Check out the June kit!! YUMMY!
 8. Beautiful colors that are trending and new (and they match).
7. A super fun group to chat with and hang out with on release days (28th of every month)!
6. Project life kits, scrapbooking kits, and stamp kits for each month, oh and they match :)
5. An easy to access gallery to upload your projects.
4. Lots of inspiration in the gallery and from the wonderful design team members.
3. AMAZING customer service and quick shipments!
2. Beautifully packaged products that come completely in-tact and undamaged.  More June deliciousness!
1. I'm scrapbooking again!!!!!!  This is HUGE for me as I didn't want to take the time to find things to match.  Now, I store my kits in large ziplock bags and everything I need is there.  My time to scrapbook is cut in half and I still have a beautiful layout when I'm done!
*I am in no way paid by Cocoa Daisy or provided with any of their lovely products.  I truly just LOVE them and subscribe and pay for their monthly scrapbooking kit!*

A Little Beauty and Copic Coloring

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I'm sharing a special little treat.  I get a lot of requests on my speed videos to describe the colors I'm using and also what I'm doing.  I created this card and tutorial for just this reason, to answer a few questions about coloring.  Enjoy the video and make sure to pop over to Whimsy Stamps to pick up your own Beauty by Elisabeth Bell.

You Brighten my Day!

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I'm sharing this bright and cheerful creation using the adorable Gill Roberts stamp from SP and Company called Puddles.  I colored her in my Copics and used the beautiful paper from Echo Park called Here & Now by Lori Whitlock.  The button is also from SP and Company and is in the fabulous Flamingo Pink color.

On a side note.  The stamps you get from SP and Company are such an awesome high quality stamp!  I love them as they stamp so well and that's often hard to find with clear stamps.

Hi ya everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend.  Here in the US today is like a Monday, as yesterday was Memorial Day.  Tuesday means Tiddly Tuesday and today I'm sharing a fun little creation using this sweet alien called Come in Cuteness.  Our challenge that starts today is to make a masculine card.  We don't care if it's for a boy, a teen boy or a man.  Just as long as it's for a guy in your life.  It's a perfect time to make Father's Day cards too!  Make sure to join us and check out all the ADORABLE Tiddly creations to get you inspired!

I HEART Glitter! I know you do too!

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I have a simple creation I made using some fun ink at SP & Company.  I used the awesome Avocado green and Flamingo Pink for the I love glitter stamp.  The sentiment is also from SP & Company and comes in the Glam Girl Emma set.

I have a question for those of you that do use glitter on your cards.  How do you get it to adhere in a nice even coat?  I used my tape runner but it's often hard to get it to go on nice and smooth.  I love the look of this card but wished that the chunky spots wouldn't have happened.  Tell me, what's your method of attaching LARGE areas of glitter!

A Father's Day TIE!

Hi ya everyone!  Well..I can truly say I'm exhausted.  I was hoping for a day of rest, but I don't think that's happened yet today.  My hubby was gone visiting his brothers and this weekend was SUPER crazy.  Without him, it was even crazier.  I can happily say that we made it to birthday parties, swim meets and work on time however.  The house is clean and super is cooking.  Can I PLEASE craft now?
Today, I'm sharing a Father's Day card using the ADORABLE set from SP & Company.  I've found that with masculine cards, for me, simple is better.  The Father's Day Fun Mini Stamp Set is perfect for simple and adorable!  I used a number of background stamps too inside the ties (chevron, medium dots and Journal this).  First, I stamped the plain tie and then used different colored inks to stamp in the tie.  Last, I cut them out and placed them on another plain piece of paper!  Perfect and easy for Father's Day!

A Measure of Happiness

Hi ya everyone!  I created this fun layout using my Cocoa Daisy kit and a number of items from SP & Company.  I used the stamp set called Journal This.  It's great for scrapbooking and I love the type font (this is and love).  I stamped them in the new inks from SP & Company too, which I love, the color is Ocean Waves.  I also used the new buttons, and they are awesome because they come in so many different sizes.  The largest ones are perfect for layouts.  Everything else came in a Cocoa Daisy kit.  If you don't know them, check them out, their kits are FANTASTIC!

A Magical Creation

Hi ya everyone!  Today, I made a fun creation using the rubber stamp by Kenny K.  This fun image is called Elf Queen and is perfect for those magical creations!  After coloring her in my Copics, I masked her off and used a few sprays to mist the background.  I then added some fun embellishments and used a fun set of Thickers for the word, Magical.  Make sure to hop on over to the Whimsy shop and pick up a fun image of your own to create with.
