Halloween - Tiddly Ink Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
This week at Tiddly Inks there is a Halloween challenge going on!  So get your Tiddly images and go have fun!  I had a lot of fun this week coloring Peek-a-Boo bugg and the adorable freebie pumpkins that Christy gave out a long time ago on the PCP page.  I layered them in Photoshop first, printed the image, and colored them with my Copics.  I fussy cut everything and set the image to the side.  Next, I took another freebie - spiderweb from the PCP page and printed that on overhead transparency.

I used a sheet of paper from a fall stack from Basic Grey for the background piece and mounted that on a cream card stock cut at 5 x 5.  I then placed this spiderweb paper (sorry can't remember the stack name) and placed that flat on the background.  I then added a number of orange and black spider buttons. Next I cut a piece of transparency at 5x5 with the printed spiderweb and used pop dots to pop it off the page.  I next popped up the image of PeekaBoo and added a stamped sentiment.

I like the transparency b/c it brings more of a 3D appearance to the card and the spider embellishments don't get caught when I put this in the envelope!  Thanks for looking!  Now grab a Tiddly Ink image and have fun and submit to the challenge!!
Enjoy!

Hi everyone!
Today it was announced that I had made the design team at Tiddly Inks!  I can't tell you how thrilled I am.  I absolutely love these images and always love the way my cards turn out when I use a Tiddly Ink image.  If you haven't participated in the challenges at Tiddly Inks - do so, they are so much fun and you could win a $10 gift certificate to the store.  Did I mention that Christy gives out some awesome freebies too when you join the Paper Craft Planet group!  The group of crafters there are so wonderful - always have great stories and wonderful advice - even on non-crafting topics!  So stop by and join in on the conversation and pick up a freebie or two!  Also, visit Christy's blog for some wonderful candy she's giving away!  I'm jumping up and down with excitment to be joining this group and thought I would give you a little collage of my favorite cards I've created with these images!

Witchy Bunny - Paper Cutz Challenge ANYTHING GOES

Hi ya everyone!
This week at Paper Cutz we are to do ANYTHING WE WANT!!! That's right - woo hoo!  I decided to use this cute witchy bunny, bibble bubble cauldron and Trick-or Treat freebie - all from Meljen's Design at Whimsy Stamps!  First, I fused the three images with Photoshop - I placed the bunny behind the cauldron just a bit and put the freebie Trick-or-Treat on the top of them both.  Next, I colored all my images with Copics and fussy cut the image out.  I placed it on some background and fussy cut that as well.  Using my Gypsy, I welded a witches hat from Mini Monsters together for a card and added a small oval to one side - for a mount for the stamp.

I cut out the hat on my Expressions and mounted the stamp.  Then I added some stickles to the hat and images.  Lastly, I flocked the spider brown and added some googly eyes!  Thanks for looking and head on over to Paper Cutz - there's no reason not too - you can enter whatever you want!!!

Autumn Crow Tag - Meljen's Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
This week at Meljen's Design we are having a wonderful challenge - Tags!  I used Meljen's Design stamp called Autumn Crow.  Isn't he adorable?   Before I move on to my card - a few things - first - there's an awesome new release at Meljen's this week - take a look!
So cute right?  Oh my gosh - I had such a hard time picking something because all of them are too stinking cute!  Now that you want all of them - head over to Whimsy Stamps!!!  Also, if you didn't catch my post earlier in the week - Meljen's is now in rubber!!! For all you rubber stamp lovers - you will want some - and get this they are rubber exclusive - I think I might have to turn a new leaf and get a few!!!  Here they are!

Now, on to my tag.  I love the Autumn Crow image - and I was able to find some fun paper from My Mind's Eye called blackbird!  It matched the image perfect!!  I also used the Happy Fall freebie image from Meljen's.  First, I cut out a tag shadow and tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, on my Expressions.  I layered the two papers.  Now, I took the backside of the Black Bird Paper and mounted my Autumn Crow and Happy Fall onto it. I then added a piece of black paper to the background lopsided from the Autumn Crow.  I added some swirly bling and took these leave buttons and added those.

Finally, I added some raffia and a black sheer ribbon with a leaf button to the tag.  I love the way this tag turned out - my daughter wants to give it to her teacher for a fall present!!  Thanks for looking - head on over to Whimsy Stamps and pick up a few and participate in the challenge at Meljen's! You could win some more awesome digitals!!!

December Means Christmas - Crafty Creations Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
Here is my Crafty Creations project for the week!  We used some wonderful images donated to us by Sketching Stamper!  Isn't the snow fairy GORGEOUS!?  The challenge this week was chosen by our awesome design team member Sharon - show a number on your project.  Well, I chose 31 numbers - but that counts right?  LOL
The calendar page is mounted on a 12x12 piece of cardstock and the snowflake background paper is from Boxer Scrapbook Productions, LLC - Snowflakes on Blue.  I made the calendar part and computer generated the December Means Christmas using PowerPoint.  I printed those out and cut them with my paper trimmer and microtipped scissors.  I paper pieced the snow fairy's clothes with paper from Best Creation Inc called Mr. & Mrs., colored her face and hair and then added stickles to her fur trimming.  I also stickled her wings.

I added a number of snowflake brads and embellishments.  Lastly, I added a ribbon to hang this at Christmas! Thanks for stopping and by and don't forget to join in on the Crafty Creations Challenge - you could win a gift from our wonderful sponsor - Sketching Stamper.
Enjoy!

Christmas Ornaments - A little too early!!!

Hi ya everyone!
Getting a jump on my Christmas stuff - here are some simple ornaments I made!  My LSS has some clear glass ornaments that I picked up.  I also got Martha Stewart's tinsel glitter in red and green.  I made a funnel out of paper and filled each glass globe with a mixture of the two glitters.  I then cut out snowflakes on my Expressions from Accent Essentials.

I added the shadow as well but hid some of the contours on the inside.  I took the snowflake and ran it through my Xyron upside down.  I added some fine stardust glitter to each snowflake and mounted them on the shadow cut.  Next, I punched a hole in each snowflake and ran a white sheer ribbon through and looped it on the ornament hook holder and tied a simple bow.

I love the way these turned out!  I made 10 and have a few special friends to send them to!  Thanks for looking!
Enjoy!

My Friend - Card Patterns Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
I made this card for fun!! That's what I said for fun!! No special occasion just felt like coloring!  This image "Donna" from Tiddly Inks was so much fun to color too! The whole weekend has been rainy in Portland and that was the inspiration for this card.  Sometimes I have a hard time with my layout - so I turned to Card Patterns - they always have GREAT layouts and it's so much fun to see a sketch and turn it into my own.  Copic Creations is also having a challenge to use the color orange!  So I splashed a bit of orange in my image and in some surrounding flowers!  Guess who is sponsoring them!! Yup, Tiddly Inks!!
I colored Donna in Copics and cut and embossed her with my circle nestables from Spellbinders.

Next, I found this nice green paper that matched the background paper perfectly and used my Scalloped circle nestables. I then cut a flower out on my Expressions from Walk In My Garden.  I also cut a smaller circle out with my nestables and cut those into two separate pieces and mounted them on each side of my image.  I also added a small brown ribbon and a stamped sentiment.

Oh, the background paper - isn't it CUTE!!!  It's from American Crafts and it's called City Park - Woodland park! I love it!  Finally, I added some glossy accents to the umbrella, rain boots and rain jacket!  Thanks for taking a look and check out Card Patterns and Copic Creations for some great inspiration and a number of wonderful cards!!!
Enjoy!

Artist Trading Cards - Tiddly Ink Challenge

Hi Ya Everyone!!
Ok...ok - Artist's Trading Cards - at first I was like what the heck???!!!  These are all the rave right now - I've seen a number of artists showcasing these are their wonderful blogs - but honestly, I thought oh those are cute and didn't think much about them.  Then the wonderful owner of Tiddly Inks shop and blog and her amazing Design Team created some for the new challenge at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  Well, you know I LOVE Tiddly Inks, so I decided to give it a go.  All I can say is - OH MY GOSH - I LOVE making these things!!!  I made four in a night and a half!  When was the last time you took maybe 3 hours to make 4 projects???  Me, never - I'm sort of slow and methodical when it comes to my cards and projects - but this helped me 1) get of a little slump 2) really enjoy coloring and coming up with something in a small space!! I loved it - but when I finished - then I thought ok, crap now what do I do with them??? LOL - but what a wonderful idea to send them out with blog candy or in little crafting projects as a sort of business card!  On the back I have my information for anyone to contact me!!!  Right - what a wonderful idea this is and I'm so thankful to the Tiddly Inks crew for some beautiful inspiration and a superior idea!
On to the cards!

Each image is a Tiddly Ink image.  You can find each image at the Tiddly Inks store by clicking on the name: Light My Life,  Lara Belle, Angle Q, and Christmas Princess. Colored them up with my lovely Copics and found papers I liked to adhere them to!

Added a bit of bling, ribbon, and computer generated setiments and I was done.  For Laura Belle above I also made some background paper from a computer generation of things people call me - the good things at least - LOL!

OH, I paper pieced the Christmas Princess b/c she was just too cute not to give an amazing snow outfit.  Added a little Stickles to her too!

Thanks for taking a peek - and you should really make some of these - they really are so fun!  Check out the inspiration at Tiddly Inks - you will be so happy you did! Join in the fun too - you could win more digitals from Christy!!!
Enjoy!

Thank EWE!! - Paper Cutz Challenge Red, White and Black

Hi ya everyone!!
This week at Paper Cutz we are challenging you to make a card with just red, black and white!!! Oh, I love this color scheme!  I chose to do something fun - and made a little sheepy shaped card.  I needed to make some thank yous from my little one's birthday party and thought these little black and white sheep would be perfect for the challenge too!

I used the sheep from Just Because Cards.  I just added and extra wool and flipped it, so that it would be the top portion of my card.  I welded them together in my Gypsy and added all the little layers.  I also shrank another wool piece down to fit inside as a sentiment area.

The card was cut in black, the wool in white! Very simple - I then added the sentiment from Just Because Cards too.  Once I had the pieces cut out I used my divine swirls folder to emboss the wool!  I popped the wool piece up on the outside.

I added a bit of woolly red ribbon to the sheep's neck and stuck on googly eyes!  Thanks for checking out my project and don't forget to enter the challenge at Paper Cutz!!!

A Little Halloween Decor - Meljen's Design Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
This week at Meljen's Designs our challenge for you is to create something for Halloween!!!  I love Halloween for so many reasons.  Since this is the first year I've really been crafting that Halloween has rolled around I'm busy making decorations for our place.  I decided to make this long little sign using three cute Meljen digi's! Aren't they adorable?  I used ghost cutie, scaredy cat, and country star pumpkin.  They can all be found here.

First, I colored these three cuties with Copics.  I cut them out using my circle nestables.  I also cut with my nestables a brown background circle so they would pop more on the Jack-O-Lantern paper from Basic Grey.  I cut Happy Halloween out on my Expressions using the Nursery Rhyme font.  I welded the shadow letters together and cut them in the same brown cardstock and then adhered these orange letters.

This was a cute and easy project for Halloween. Don't forget to participate in the Halloween challenge at Meljen's!!!
Enjoy!

Blog Hop Winner

Sorry everyone!!! A little late but the blog hop winner is:

"You projects are amazing!!! :) I love them both! I might have to scraplift that wall hanging myself! ;)
My favorite thing about fall is probably spending time with my two little ones to create their own costumes (my husband & I know it costs less and is tons easier to go for the store-bought, but as young as they are, they really get into it)!
Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win,"

Congrats Jennifer you have won my blog candy - please contact me at melissaforquer@gmail.com

Candy Corn Gift Bag - Crafty Creations Challenge

Hi ya everyone!
This week at Crafty Creations we are following a beautiful sketch from our team member Jeanet.  She also asks that you use a RUBBER stamp and either lace or ribbon on your project.  I needed to make a card/tag for a little gift bag so I thought the sketch would be perfect for it!  Here is the sketch:

First, I colored my little candy corns from Meljen's Designs using my Copics.  Isn't this little stamp adorable?  I love them!  I cut them out with my scalloped circle nestables and placed them on some fun Halloween paper with repeating Halloween words.  I then used another Halloween paper with repeating words for the large square.  For my rubber stamp I used the studio g stamp Halloween Treats and stamped close to the top of the image.  I also computer generated a Happy Halloween sentiment.

Lastly, I added these prima flowers with a black brad and also laced a ribbon through a punch whole and twined it on this candy corn bag I got from Michaels!  Thanks for taking the time to come to my blog and leave a little love!  Now you should head on over to Crafty Creations and play you could win a gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp Store!!!
Enjoy!

Fall and Halloween Blog Hop

Hi ya Everyone!
I am sharing two projects I did for a blog hop that Stephanie over at Always Crafting is hosting.  She asked a number of bloggers to participate and I was lucky enough to be one of them!  I love making fun things for Halloween and I started to notice this year that really I don't have near enough!!  A number of the blogs along the way are having goodies to share!  If you've just happened by my blog and want to join in the fun start at Stephanies blog here!  Scrapadoo is sponsoring and they are giving away an awesome prize - so make sure to head on over to Stephanies blog to see what it is!! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! You have to comment on all blogs to qualify! Now, if you've come from Momo's blog you are in the right place!  I do have a little candy I will be giving away today too.  My only requirement is to post a little comment and tell me your favorite thing about fall/halloween!!  You will have to come back by at the end of the hop to find out if you won!

Here's my first project - as many of you know - I LOVE me some Tiddly Ink Stamps - the challenge this week at Tiddly Inks Challenge blog is to create a card/project using a crackle effect or diamond glaze.  I chose to use Diamond Glaze/Glossy Accents.  It's not dry in the picture but I did this purposely because it shows up a bit better when still wet.

First, I used my Gypsy to create the cauldron from Happy Hauntings.  I attached the shadow Witches Brew phrase to the cauldron.  I cut all objects on my expressions and adhered them.  I then designed a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 easel card.  Lastly, I used this cute Betty Belfrey Tiddly Ink stamp.  I colored her with my Copics and popped her from the rest of the card.

I added a few rub on ghosts and this cute little pumpkin from my paper stack.  I topped it off with a black ribbon and then added the glossy accents to my bubbly cauldron!  I love how this card turned out.

My second project is a complete scraplift from Donna Mundinger's blog - Popsicle Toes.  She created this for the BBTB2 Minimonograms project and I fell in love with it.

I again used my Gypsy - Mini Monograms and Mini Monsters.  I used the font from Nursery Rhymes.  I popped the little ghosts and added googly eyes to a number of the skeletons on the paper.  Oh, yeah I also ran the ghosts through the xyron and added some flocking so they would match the skeletons on the paper - they are also fuzzy.

I then punched some holes and added a few rings from the cinch binders.  Added a ribbon to hang it!  I love the way it turned out, but now I need to add more to my door - maybe some huge ghosts!!!
You are probably wondering what I'm going to give out as blog candy - well here it is!!

Head over to Trish's blog next for more fun!!!
Here's the list of bloggers as well - so if you get lost somehow, come back and find your way!!!
Melissa - YOU ARE HERE!!!

Enjoy!
